December Challenge at the A Bit More Time to Craft Extra Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good day yesterday. Today is the first day of my hubby's retirement. It is shame we are still in lockdown as it would have been nice to go somewhere to celebrate. I am now working on a list of jobs for him to do. I am sure he is looking forward to this. 😊

Today the new Challenge at the A Bit More Time to Craft Extra Challenge Blog starts. The theme is always Anything Goes.  This will be my last challenge with this lovely team. I am sure that my craft time will be diminished with my hubby being around more. I still want to make cards but I don't really want to have a lot of deadlines to work to.

For this card I used the Vintage Flakes Digi papers set. There are papers on offer as prizes for the winners of the challlenge.

Our challenges are always fun. Click on the badge above and you will be taken there.

This oh so cute little penguin is from Conie Fong. I am not sure that is it available anymore. I used my Primsacolor pencils to colour the image. I used the Double Pierced Rectangle dies from Creative Expressions to cut out the image and its mats.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

I hope December is kind to you.

House Number Frame and a New Home Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? I have done a little invigilating. I did more that I expected. We actually invigilated a proper external exam on Wednesday. The rest of the time was spent supervising pupils catching up on the Mock exams they had missed in the previous two weeks. It is so nice that I have a day off today. I am looking forward to the joining in with the  Shac Shack and to doing some crafting.

Our daughter and son-in-law moved last month. When they had their first house I made them a frame with their house number in it. Before they moved this time I was given the frame back and asked to make a new number. They wanted to keep the old number in the frame behind the new number. I thought this was a lovely idea.

Sorry for the glare on the glass. In the background is some of the paper that I used to make flowers  for their wedding. There is a hill opposite their house with a wood on the brow of the hill. They have seen deer over there as well. I used a John Next Door die to create that part of the scene. You know they have three bunnies that we looked after. The dog is a wish they would like to have a dog. The numbers were cut with a selection of dies in my stash.

Here is the New Home Card I made for them. This doodle is based on one of the doodles we did in Barbara Gray's Shac Shack. I missed a trick I should have drawn the actual house. This one isn't far off I have had another go for their Christmas Card. I do so love doodling. I would also like to buy them a wooden bird table for their garden. There are just so many birds round where they live now.

Have a good weekend.

October Rudolph Days Challenge - Cheeky Snowman

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Good news our daughter and son-in-law have moved. The move day was last Friday and mostly the rain stayed away. We went up to help. We cleaned, we collected hot drinks from Starbucks, we provided a picnic and we helped a bit with unpacking. We arrived home about 8.00pm just in time to feed the bunnies. We went back on Saturday to help a bit more. On Sunday we had a day at home. Also on Friday we found out that my hubby has been accepted for Voluntary Severance and he will be retiring on 30th November. Life is going to be a bit different.

I have been a bit out of the loop for a few days. I nearly missed the October Rudolph Days Challenge which runs from the 25th until the end of the month.

The blue snowy patterned paper was in my stash.

I have been practising my pencil colouring. This cute little image comes from Bugaboo and is called Snow Friends and it is available HERE.  They were coloured with pencils but for the life of me I can not remember which ones. Oops.

Well another card for my stash. I have made over 100 cards now. I hope that is enough. We are arranging with lots of people not to exchange Christmas presents this year. I will still send Christmas cards though. People are still in our thoughts.

Beccy's Place - Country Floral Digital image set

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? On Saturday we had a trip to our local garden centre. We had a coffee there and we picked up some supplies. As the weather was nice we spent the afternoon cleaning and oiling a garden table we had been given.  On Sunday we had a trip to see our daughter and son-in-law we took them some supplies for packing. We are all hoping they are going to move soon.

I am one of the Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. Which means that I get some truly gorgeous images to work with. The one I am show casing now is the Encore Set Country Floral. The images are just so pretty. I am featured on Beccy's Blog today click HERE to see my makes there

The papers were in my stash.

This is the Country Floral Digital Stamp set and it is available HERE. There are pre-coloured images and line art in the set.

I used the oval with the flowers. I coloured the flowers with my Prismacolor pencils. Once the image was coloured I fussy cut it.

This sentiment added nicely inside the oval.

I coloured the ladybird and then I cut is out. I added the antennae with a Micron pen my cutting out isn't that good.

I made a cute little tag too. The ladybirds look good in different colours.

I really did enjoy using this set. I think I will turn to this set often.

Sherry West Guest Design Team Member - Back to School Poppi Pokkadot Colouring and Craft Contest

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

We had a lovely day for my hubby's birthday yesterday. We visited the Weald and Downland Museum which is where they film the Repair Shop. You can't visit the barn where the filming takes place but you can see a bit of what is going on. We saw Dom doing some spraying outside we have no idea what he was working on. Later we saw the teddy bear ladies, Dom and Steve all posing on a cart. It will be interesting to see if any of that makes it into the programme. We really enjoyed the museum they have some wonderful buildings there and the grounds are great to walk around.

A couple of weeks ago I was asked if I would like to be a Guest Design Team member for Sherry West ART. Well I jumped at the chance. The initial term is for three months. For August I have been given four images to work with. The first one is Back to School Poppi Pokkadot. She is a free image for a colouring a craft competition on Facebook. You can reach the event HERE.  The image is free to download in the event.

Isn't she just so cute. I enjoyed colouring her with my Prismcolor pencils. I do find that I have a lot more control when I am colouring with my pencils. I have learnt a lot from Barbara Gray. I cut thm image and it's mats with some Tattered Lace Dies. The Numbers and Letters are Crafter's Companion dies.

Our daughter and son-in-law are coming today. It will be so good to see them and they are bringing afternoon tea.

Winter Wonderland Challenge blog theme follow the sketch and Embossing

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been?  We had a meal out on Wednesday with the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. It was so weird sitting in a restaurant after so long. Today is my hubby's birthday and we are off the the Weald and Downland museum. Our tickets are booked. We keep being reminded of it when we watch the Repair Shop and it isn' far from us. In the evening some friends are coming to supper. On Saturday our daughter and son-in-law are coming with afternoon tea. That should be nice too. I will let you know how we get on.
The new challenge has started at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog. The theme this time is to follow one of the two sketches and to include some embossing. The Sponsor is Dr Digi.

Now you have seen my card. I have a bit of a confession. Well I was so intent on following the sketch that I didn't included any embossing. I was pleased with how the card turned out and I didn't really have time to make another card. I hope I am forgiven for my oversight.

Here are the two sketches to follow. I adapted the first one to suit a square card. I like square cards.

There are many wonderful images in the store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This image is called Selfie Santa and it is available HERE.  The image was printed onto Neenah Card Stock and was coloured with my Prismacolor Pencils.

The sentiment I found in my stash.

There you have it. They are rather lovely sketches to follow. Why not give our challenge a try.

Cute Angel Christmas Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope that you had a good weekend. We had a quiet one which meant that we were able to get a lot of jobs done in the house and garden. There is still so much that I want to do with both.

All through this time I have been making Christmas cards. For some reason I have found them easier to make that other styles of cards. So far I have made 78. I do still need some more.

Here is my latest card made with a cute little image from Sherry West.

I have been using some A3 black card to make card blanks. When I do this there is a folded piece of black card left over. Sometimes, like here, I use these to make tent fold cards.

This cute little image is called Merry Christmouse it is available from Sherry West HERE.  The image was printed on to Neenah card stock and it was coloured with my Prismacolor pencils. With the pencils I can get quite a delicate effect and I can colour much smaller images. I have found so many images that I have printed and that I can practice my colouring on.

So here is another card for my Christmas stash. I think there is one more of these images for me to colour.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog - Challenge 77 - Anything Goes - Sponsor Fred She Said

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Being the start of the month I am back with my second Design Team post of the day. Challenge 77 has just started at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog. The theme is the ever popular Anything Goes and the sponsor is the fabulous Fred She Said Designs

I found the snowy paper in my stash.

There are many wonderful images sets in the store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

I used the image set called Christmas Corgi which is available HERE.   I created a background on my computer. As the line images are PNGs I was able to place them over the background. I coloured the doggies with my Prismacolor pencils. The snowflakes were added with a gel pen.

This sentiment and the Winter trees are dies from Creative Expressions.

Aren't those Corgis just so cute. This is another Christmas card for my stash.

A Cute Bee Happy Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good weekend. In spite of the rain we managed to get a lot of gardening done on Saturday. Then on Sunday we had friends round for lunch in the garden it was rather windy though. All in all it was a good weekend. I wonder what will happen this week.

As I have said recently when I am using digi images I often print more than one. I found this image and I had a go at colouring it with my Prismacolor Pencils.

The background was made with some inky kitchen roll stuck to some card. I used Snippets of black card to make the hexagons the sentiment and the bees.

This image is called Spring Bumble Bee and it is available HERE from Star Stampz.   The image was printed onto a blue background and coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I do love practising with them. I added a stalk to the flower with a Micron Pen.

I might send this to someone who needs cheering up.

I Just Love Robins on Christmas Cards

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? Lockdown is certainly changing. We will have to  wait and see what the effect will be. Yesterday my hubby took a days leave and we went to Hinton Ampner a National Trust property quite near to where we live. We had to pre-book and we had a timed slot. It is just so nice to be able to walk round somewhere a bit different.

As for me. I seem to be getting busier. It is difficult to find the time to make cards and blogging is going on the back burner a bit. Maybe when we aren't looking after the bunnies I will have a bit more time for both.

When I print digi images I usually print at least two copies in case I go wrong when I am colouring. Recently I rounded up the spare images so that I could practice colouring with my pencils.

The patterned paper and the ribbon were in my stash.

This is  image no 118 Winter Robin and it is available HERE from Sheepski Designs.  The image was coloured with my Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment was cut with a Crafter's Companion die.

Here is another card for my Christmas stash. I will be colouring some more images with my pencils.

Clyde the Dragon - Get Well Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend. On Saturday we met our friends for a lovely walk by the river in Hamble. In the evening we watched a live stream of a John Lennon tribute Act. Then on Sunday we went up to Andover so we could see the house our daughter and son-in-law are in the process of buying. We still had lots of time at home to get on with jobs.

I have been following the Facebook lives that Barbara Gray does very weekday at 10.00 am. Now one week we doodle and one week we colour with pencils. Until then I had never really got on with colouring with pencils. I did treat myself to a set of Prismacolor pencils a while back. Well now I can use them. I am rather pleased.

So I could practice I went through and found all the images I had printed and not coloured. For this card I used a lot of dies. From Creative Expressions I used the Double Pierced Squares and Rectangles and the  Stitched Flag dies. The patterned papers were in my stash.

This cute little dragon is called Clyde Get Well and he comes from Bugaboo. He was coloured with my Prismacolor pencils.

I have made a lot of get well cards lately. I do love this little dragon he is lovely to colour with pens or pencils.
