Fantasy Stampers - CAS Christmas

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here. There is so much to do and it is all so much harder with a poorly husband. I do hope you get done all the things that you need to do.

The time has come for the last Fantasy Stampers Challenge of the year and the theme is CAS (Clean and Simple) Christmas.

Here is my card I used the Holly Bells stamp from Clarity Stamps and the sentiment was from there as well.

I stamped with Perfect Medium and heat embossed it with a sparkly black powder. Finally I coloured with my Promarkers.

I hope you have a great weekend. The winners of the last challenge will be posted tomorrow.

I would like to join in with challenge 340 on the Allsorts Challenge Blog.

Creative Artiste Challenge Blog - Challenge 9 Anything Goes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is nearly here. I am doing a really nice thing at work today. There is a special service at Winchester Cathedral arranged by Hampshire Music service for special needs children. It is very well done and everyone gets to join in. In a lot of ways this is the highlight of our year. The only downside is that I haven't left my husband alone for so long yet. I have arranged for some friends to pop in and see him.

There is a new challenge starting today on the Creative Artiste Challenge blog the sponsor is Foilplay and the theme is Anything Goes.

I was very lucky and I won this kit to make a candle holder on the Creative Expressions Facebook page. They have a competition every Friday it is well worth entering.

The MDF pieces were painted  and the inside stamped before I slotted the sides together. I could have stuck this together but I decided not to so that it could be packed away when we aren't using it.

I made it a sort of skirt using lots of my Sue Wilson dies. This is detachable.

You can see the stamping in gold and silver on the inside. The candle is one of those electric ones I just feel they are a little safer.

Here it is lit in the evening. This will be one of our main Christmas decorations this year most of our things are in the loft and the boxes are too heavy for me and my husband can't manage them with one hand.

I hope that you have a great day today. It is a very busy time of year.

Unicorn Challenge Blog - Winter Time

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? Mine has been interesting to say the least. It is good to have my husband home even with his arm in plaster. He is learning to do everything one handed. There is still some discomfort but it is early days and that is to be expected.

I am playing catch up with my design team projects. I should have posted this one for the Unicorn Challenge Blog on Tuesday. To say my week has been a bit messed up is an understatement. Challenge number 4 is now well under way and the theme is Winter Time. This time it falls to me to choose the winners.

This card was made almost exclusively with Sue Wilson's dies including: Winter Trees, Deer Family, Noble dies and the Peace die.

I cut and embossed the deer and I put black card behind the filigree details to make the deer silhouettes against the winter background.

These dies have been my favourite to use this season. I have made quite a few cards using them.

I hope that you have a great week. You might even go in for our challenge I would love to see what you create with this theme. It doesn't have to be a Christmas card many people have birthdays at this time of year.

I would like to enter Challenge 11 at A Snowflake's Promise

Crafty Addicts - Tis the Season or Anything Goes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? Mine has calmed down now that my husband is back from hospital. It is so nice having him home and he isn't in pain he has even stopped taking painkillers. Though he is having to adjust to only using one hand.

This is my last post for the Crafty Addicts Design team. I have decided to make this move as I am rather busy at the moment. I don't like letting anyone down.

We had a sponsor for this challenge Knitty Kitty Digi Stamps

This image was coloured with Promarkers.

I added some Spellbinders die cuts I do love the flower pots and their flowers.

I am going to send this to someone who likes gardening.

Enjoy your day today.

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Well everything seems to have got a bit out of hand and I am very behind with lots of commitments. Life is returning to normal now my husband is home from hospital. I have time to catch up a little.

This is my latest card for the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. The theme this month is Anything Goes and there are prizes on offer.

We have a Sponsor this month Beccy's Place who has provide the whole team with beautiful images to use.

Click on the logo and you will be taken to the store.

The image I chose to use is called Baby Robin  he is so cute and lovely to colour with my Promarkers. I cut him out with one of my new Sue Wilson pierced square dies.

The sentiment was cut with a Sue Wilson die.

Here is another view of the card.

Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Tattered Lace - ScanNcut - USB stick 2 A Little Bit of Everything

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope that you had a great weekend. The Christmas Fair was amazing and we saw Green Santa. We even met some of our family there. But in a heart beat everything changed. My husband slipped getting off the carousel and he broke his wrist. He has just come home from hospital he had to have an operation and he now has plates in his wrist.

Sometime ago I was  to be able to buy a Brother ScanNcut with help from my Mother-in-law. As you probably know I make samples for Tattered Lace television shows on Create and Craft. Recently I was sent an email asking if I could test some cutting files for a new USB stick from Tattered Lace for the ScanNcut. The new stick was released today on Create and Craft with Mel Heaton demonstrating and as you have probably guessed I have made some samples.

This is what I made none of these samples were shown.

This was made with the violin and bow cutting file.

This was made with the ballet shoes cutting file.

This was made with the Summer Meadow cutting file.

This was made with the Kaleidoscope flowers and leaves.

I used the same files to make this bag.

I am very pleased to have my husband home. I do hope that you have a good week.

Fantasy Stampers Midway Motivation - Traditional Christmas

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

It is Saturday and we are off to the  Victorian Festival of Christmas at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard they even have a  Green Santa, apparently it is traditional. I will try to get some photos.

This is a first for me this is the midway motivation card for the current challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog and the theme is Traditional Christmas. So I have made a card with a Santa and a sleigh . I suppose this is the opposite to my  traditional card last week.

This is quite a straight forward card. The background was made with ink and a post-it note mask. The stars were stamped with Perfect Medium and heat embossed with a silver powder. The houses and trees were cut with a Tattered Lace die set that I got with one of  their magazines. The sentiment came free with a set of Christmas stamps from a magazine.

This is a Trimcraft stamp and it came free with another magazine and a rather nice paper pad. He was stamped in black ink that was then heat embossed with a clear powder. I coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I like how this card came together I have been wanting to use the stamp and  dies for some time.

I will let you know what the Victorian Festival is like.
