Card inspired by Sue Wilson's Blog

I was watching Sue demo this technique on Create and Craft and I thought I could do that, then on Friday the card was on her blog and that was the final push. This is my first attempt and it took all afternoon and a very messy kitchen. I started with a piece of white paper  8 x 8 which I inked with Adirondack inks, that I happened to have, in a random manner. This was left to dry while I inked in black archival and heat embossed four separate stamps that made up one sunflower. Then they were coloured with Promarkers. Back to the dry paper I now used perfect medium and stamped the image of the whole sunflower over the paper and heated embossed this with white. Back to the perfect medium and I stamped in the gaps some more sunflowers that were then heat embossed in clear. My mistake was to start with 8 x 8 paper when making an 8 x 8 card as it needed trimming down after all the matting and layering and the balance of the design was somewhat lost. Over all I was pleased with how it turned out as it isn't my usual style. There is a link to Sue's blog on the side on my blog and you can look at the original inspiration. The Happy Birthday die I used was free on Simply Cards and Papercraft out this month.

This is what I bought at Farnborough Craft show. I was only there 3 hours  heavens know what I would have ended up with if I had been there longer. It is a good show very spacious and there are lots of seats.
There is leather there I am hoping to make some flowers with my tattered florals Bigz Dies.

Happy Crafting
