A Quintet of Pink Butterflies.

Hi Bloggers

Yesterday I finished 16 Christmas cards so as an antidote to all things green and red I thought I would have a go at the current challenge on the Butterfly Challenge blog. This time it is emboss your butterfly and I have had a butterfly embossing folder for a while that I was itching to use.

The dies I used were Tonic dies and were all cut out of white card , embossed and inked with Distress ink to get the colour I wanted. The sentiment is a Clarity stamp cut with a Spellbinder die.

Here is the detail of the embossed background I used a card stock with a white core so it could be sanded back and inked.

This is the start of half term week for me so I am hoping to finish my Christmas cards, I need another 20 which should be achievable. The film we saw on Monday as a preview was Nightcrawler it seems to be being advertised quite heavily now. It was interesting but I'm not sure we would have chosen to see it at the cinema.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy crafting

Hugs Jackie

  3. I'm in love with your embossing folder. That's one technique I haven't tried yet ,to sand back after using the coordination's card stock. The effect is really pretty especially with the embossed butterfliews on top along with the trailing leaves. I like the double mounting too. Glad you came and fluttered by again for #17. hugs Mrs A.
