Sympathy in Mauve

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week shaping up? I have gone back to work and I am coping well it is just my hearing that is a bit off.

This is a card that I made for my husband's work friend whose father died recently.

Purple does seem to be my go to colour. I didn't want to use black but I wanted a dark colour. I used lots of Spellbinder dies and the Sue Wilson heart lattice embossing folder. All the inking was done with Dusty Concorde Distress ink.

This shows the detail of the corner die.

I cut two square dies and off set them. I do like the flower box die it makes a good focal element.

It is a shame to have to make something for such a sad occasion I just wanted them to know that we care.

I hope the rest week is good for you. I am going to the Make It craft show at Farnborough on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone else was going?

Happy crafting

Hugs Jackie

  11. Beautifully made sympathy card. Love the design and centrepiece. I know what it's like with regards to hearing as I am deaf in one ear and have to wear a hearing aid in the other and still find it frustrating trying to hear. Have a good time at the show, to far for me as I am in Cheshire. Hugs Jennifer xx
