Poppy Card Number Two

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope your week had been good so far. I have been busy at work but I have managed to fit in some crafting. The Save the Date cards I made for our niece and her fiance  have been sent out and they are being well received.

Today I am sharing the other card that my mother-in-law asked me to make. This one is for the lady of the couple who help my in-laws a lot.


This card is is the same size as my last card that is A5. The shape and size of the card  meant that  the design needed to be  quite different from my other poppy card. The central panel was embossed and I found the beautiful lace in my stash.


The image was treated differently as well. I inked through the stencil with Distress ink as before. Once the ink was dry I put translucent paste on the stencil. The stencil was carefully removed and the paste was covered over with CS Iced Diamonds glitter. I left this to dry overnight. I did make two of these so I will be using the other one sometime. 


I tried the sentiment all over the place on this card before I settled on putting it here. I  used  the same stamp as the one I used on the boat card in my last post.


I will be giving the cards to my mother-in-law soon I hope she likes them.
