Happy weekend and it is the start of Half term week for me. I am feeling very lucky we are making our final preparations for a quick trip to Amsterdam, we are going tomorrow. It was all booked it at the the last minute. It should be an interesting trip.
I am sharing my inspiration card for challenge 37 at Fantasy Stampers the theme is Wings and Things. I love butterflies and I use them whenever I can. This card was made for a rather sad reason we recently found out that one of our close friends has cancer I made this card to show her that we care.
I started by making the mats. The top mat was a cream coloured card. On this I stamped the large and small butterfly from Visible Image with different shades of Distress Ink these were then heat embossed with clear powder. Then I inked over the page with Old Paper Distress ink. Those colours have such lovely names.
For the topper I used some paper from my stash I cut it to size with a black mat. On to the paper I stamped the Inkcognito butterfly stamp, from Visible Image, with CS Perfect Medium and heat embossed it with gold powder. Then I stamped the Large and Small butterfly stamps also from Visible Image, onto a scrap of the same paper as the mat, with red Distress ink and then they were heat embossed with clear powder and cut out. The butterflies were stuck down by their bodies so that their wings could be lifted up to give some dimension.
Have a great weekend.
Don't forget about joining in with the challenge at Fantasy Stampers.
Happy Crafting
Hugs Jackie
