Upcycled Robin Christmas card.

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you had a good weekend. The weather has been very kind down here in the south. We didn't get the gardening done I have been working on a special Crafty project but I am not sure when I can share it with you.
On Sunday afternoon, I was so lucky, I went to our local Hobbycraft with a friend and Sara Davies, from Crafter's Companion,  was there as part of her roadshow. After watching Sara there was something that I wanted to try so I came home and made this card.

The card blank is a 6" x 6" scalloped card blank. I cut all the mats. In the top white mat I cut an aperature with a Spellbinders label die. Then I got an embossing folder and I inked the debossed side of the folder before embossing the card. This transferred some of the ink to the card it is quite faint I held back a bit with the ink. I want to try this with a clouds embossing folder that I haven't been able to use. I cut a frame to go round the aperture in gold card I don't like a bear aperture.

The bow was cut with a Sue Wilson die set from patterned paper. I must admit that sometime ago I sat and made a few of these so this one was just in my stash.

This is the image of the robin that I got from an old Christmas card. I cut the robin so he would fit under the aperture.

Sara did lots of demos, she chatted to people and we all got a free gift for turning up.

She was very kind and she took this selfie for me.

This will have to be one of those cards that you hand out as the bow is quite puffy.

Have a great week,

Hugs Jackie
