I hope you have had a great weekend. We went to Reading for our one night away which seemed rather silly but it worked out really well. We did some shopping, met our daughter and her fiancé, we had a nice meal together and saw a film. Then we split up and they did some more shopping and we came back to the hotel. Then today we had a leisurely morning before heading off to see both sets of parents and now we are home.
The card I am sharing today is one I was asked to make by a colleague at work for friends of hers who are getting married soon.
She saw a card on my blog with lots of hearts on it and she wanted a similar design but using the colours of the wedding: black, white and pink. She also wanted the words in the middle. I used my Sue Wilson Heart of Heart dies to make the hearts and the mats. I embossed the surrounding hearts with the Heart Lattice embossing folder.
I typed the words on the computer and cut them out with the heart die.
In this shot your can see a bit of the background. On the white mat I stamped the Clarity Stamp "All You Need is Love" stamp in CS Perfect Medium and the heat embossed it in white before inking round the edges. The black in the design was cut with a Tonic die I can't remember the name. The ribbon added a splash of darker pink.
My colleague was very pleased with this card.

A great card Jackie. Do you find it easier or harder when the person commissioning the card says they want this that and the other. I do...I find it just muddles me coz it's not my vision X

ReplyDeleteOh my god! These are fabulous Wedding hearts. I really liked the design. I am going to have a fairy wedding very soon and gathering such brilliant ideas for my big day. I am done with booking one of local wedding venues and now need a good planner for arrangements.
