A Difficult Card to Make

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? Yesterday I was on a school trip that involved a very long walk. Fortunately the rain held off until we got back.

Just before I went away for our daughter's Hen Do we received a very sad phone call. One of our oldest friends told us that their 23 year old daughter had died suddenly she had a seizure and her heart failed. It is just so unbelievably sad.  They were also about to move house at the weekend from London to Leeds.

I wanted to make a card but it was really hard to know quite what to do. So I went for tasteful. I just want them to know that we are thinking of them. A new home card at this time didn't seem to quite fit the bill.


I went back to my small collection (it is growing) of Pollyanna Pickering images. I found some pretty backing paper and lace. I cut the flowers from the lace to place behind the image. 


The sentiment came from another pad of Pollyanna Pickering images from the Creative World of Crafts. 


This has to be my favourite image. I love the owl he is beautiful. 


The really hard bit will be writing this card. I will get my husband to help me he is good with words.
