Christmas in February

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? I hope you did something nice. We had a whirlwind of a time. On Saturday we headed off to Farnborough to visit the Art of Craft shop in North Camp. What with the Farnborough craft show being cancelled they were on the second day of a Craft Extravaganza. I was able to meet up with John Lockwood again. We actually come from that area and we were able to drop off wedding invitation samples to our nephew and his fiancee. Then we visited both sets of parents. On Sunday our daughter and son-in-law came to collected their animals and they treated us to a lovely lunch at a lovely local pub. Most of the tidying up is done just a bit to finish off today.

I had a little bit of free time last week so I decided to make a couple of Christmas cards with two challenges in mind.

The background mat with the decorative edge was cut on my Scan'n'cut which I have been trying to use more. It was a stored shape that I could cut to the size I wanted.

This image is called Quilted Deer and is available free on Beccy's Place blog. One of the challenges I want to enter is a sketch challenge on the  Beccy's Place  blog.

Here is the second card I made.

This is another free image from Beccy's place. He is called Stanley with Bauble.

Guess where this sentiment came from? Yes Beccy's place again.

Here are the two cards together.

Have a great week.

Happy Crafting.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie

  16. Lovely cards Jackie I’m not very adventurous with my ScanNCut The main thing I do with mine are mats and it makes terrific equal sized frames no trying to line up 2 dies

  17. You've done a wonderful job interpreting the sketch Jackie, your cards are gorgeous. I especially like the fabulous background paper you used, checks and tartans always look great on Christmas cards. The glitter paper gives a lovely sparkle to your projects too. Fantastic!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
