Moving Along with the Times Challenge Blog (MAWTT) - Theme Love

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

This is a busy morning there is a second post from me. As you can see the new challenge has started on the Moving Along with the Times Challenge blog and I am the host this time. I chose the theme of Love. It just seemed like the right time of year what with Valentine's Day coming up. But you don't have to stop there. So many other types of cards could be made for anniversarys, weddings, engagements or just to let someone know you care.

I made an anniversary card for my husband. Our anniversary is in April. It is fine for me to share his card as he doesn't read my blog or do Social Media. We had a huge break through when he agreed to do WhatsApp and now we can have family chats and he doesn't get left out.

I started with the image from an old card. I used the colours from the image for the mats and layers. The last grey layer was embossed with the Heart Lattice embossing folder from Creative Expressions.

This image came from a large card. I thought it might look a bit like us on one of our trips.

This is a signature die.

This image came from another card. I used the Heart of Hearts die set to cut the hearts.

Now I have just got to remember where I have put this card when our anniversary comes. This year it is on a bank holiday so we will be able to send the day together.

Happy Crafting

  7. Hi Jackie,
oh what a super card for your hubby.
I love the wonderful design and that super image is so lovely.
    Beautiful colour choices.
I have that embossing folder and have never used it on coloured card before.
Yours looks so fab I am going to try that next time if I remember. LOL.
Our Anniversary is in December and I hate it being so close to Christmas as we don't get time to celebrate it properly with all the Christmas things going on.
I even forgot out 25th Anniversary too and didn't realize till afterwards.
    How bad is that.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
