How are things going for you? Are you managing to get all the shopping you need? What strange times we are living in. My house have never been so tidy. My hubby is working from home so that gives our week a bit of structure. We are also discovering more about our local area with all the walks we are doing. This week we are doing a shopping trip for an older couple who are isolating.
I made a nautical card for my uncle who is in a home in Devon. The home no longer allows visitors so I decided to send him a card. This is the card that I made with the leftovers after I had finished his card.
The patterned paper came from a paper pad from The Works. It was this leftover square that inspired me to make this card.
I used so many dies to make this scene. The circle were cut with the Double Pierced Circle dies from Creative Expressions. Most of the other dies are from the Nautical Scenes die set that came free with a magazine. The little clouds are a Crafter's Companion die.
I often use candy in the corners of my cards. I have started making my own this means that I can match them exactly to the card I am using. I use the centre of one of the Cogs from a set of dies from John Next Door. I haven't decided who to send this card to yet it is one for my stash.

What a really lovely card and so thoughtful Jackie, I am sure it will bring joy just to think you took time out to make it just for him.
ReplyDeleteTimes are very odd indeed, I am doing ok because its not a big difference for me, although now I can't see the rest of my family and I miss the hugs and my sweet grandchildren, but fingers crossed, we will all get through this and maybe be better for it. Take care and stay safe won't you.xx
This is lovely Jackie; very patriotic :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie - I love this reminder of the seaside, I wonder how long it will be till I see the sea again.... We were due to head over to our Southwold flat last week for a few days, but of course that didn't happen. I would have been quite happy just to sit in the car and look at the sea tbh. However, common sense prevailed - I will content myself from looking at photos and seeing cards like this one! take care, stay safe
ReplyDeleteA lovely card made with leftovers! I make my own Canditoo I use a die from Press Cut (can’t remember the name) it’s like an A6 plate that literally cuts tiny circles (80 at a time if you want!) Perfect size for Candi
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that I don’t particularly like crafting at the mo. No enthusiasm or energy
Take care and keep safe
PS Shopping is OK just can’t get bread toilet rolls and paracetamol
this is a great and beautiful card Jackie

It looks wonderful Jackie. I have thought of sending cards to both mums as no visitors allowed in their care homes either, xxxx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card a Jackie. I am sure your Uncle will love it. Would love to be at the seaside. Think my holidays this year will be cancelled. Running out of a few things food wise but trying to have smaller meals to make it last out until my son can go shopping for me. Take care everyone.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love the die cuts
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Jackie xoxo
