Barn Owl Birthday Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How are things going for you? Have you ventured out anywhere different or further away? Have you had people round to socialise in your garden? We haven't changed what we are doing much. We are still shopping for a few people. Next Wednesday we have booked to go to Exbury Gardens.  You have to book ahead for a specific time. Only a few people are allowed in each hour. My husband is taking a days leave so we can do this. I am still a bit nervous about it.

I was looking through my files and I found the birthday card that I made for my cousin. I tried to make him one before this one  and it turned out rather feminine. I sent that one was sent to one of my other cousins.

I do love images by the late Pollyanna Pickering. I chose the image from one of my pads. Then I chose papers to match the image. I found an Ivy Border die from Creative Expressions I cut the die twice using a pale green card. I darkened the die with Distress Ink.

This is a gorgeous image of a Barn Owl by Pollyanna Pickering. He looks so cute peeking round the corner.

It is raining today. The garden does so need the rain. We still had our walk this morning that is what waterproof coats are for.  I will be colouring with Barbara Gray a bit later.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Have a good day.

  5. Love this card Jackie. Love anything with owls on but this one is gorgeous. Enjoy Exbury Gardens. N9 I haven’t been anywhere yet and don’t intend to for a while. I cannot go to any National Trust places as the friend I would go with doesn’t drive so no way we could go which is a shame although neither of us are keen to go out yet anyway. Take care and Stay safe.

  8. Hi Jackie,
I love your card and the owl design.
Sych a lovely image of it peeking through that shape.
Love the gorgeous ivy and paper used too.
I wish it would rain here in my part of Kent.
We seem to never get rain when other parts of Ashford do.
My water butt is nearly empty and my kitchen is in the front of the house so I have to carry water right through the living room to do the watering and can't leave my door open as there was a big rat in the garden yesterday evening.
Can't feed the birds because of the darn things.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  9. Jackie, I am always inspired and awe-filled with your magnificent creations. I especially enjoy the bird toppers and your BP cards. This card is GORGEOUSNESS personified! I cannot help but think of Harry Potter with this owl because of the ivy and black backdrop. Yes, I am a Potter fan! This creation is pure loveliness! Thanks for sharing, and for your kind comments on my blog which have so filled me with inspiration and hope during this difficult-for-me time. love, de
