Tatty Daisy Card - Just Because

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? Yesterday I had my hair cut. I had forgotten how much I enjoy the experience. Also I have known my hairdresser for 23 years and she like a good friend. She used to cut our daughter's hair and always asks about how she is getting on. This morning we dropped off a Covid test each. We are taking part in a trial. In a few days we should get the result.

I have been making a few cards. My friend is opening her house for the Open Studios event and she has asked me if I would like to have a table of cards. Of course I said yes. This will take place August Bank Holiday Weekend. That really isn't far away.

Sometime ago I treated myself to the Tatty Daisy die from the John Next Door range. I had a design in my head that I wanted to try. As you know I have been making simple cards recently this is another one. All the card I used was from my stash. I do like this pink card, it has nearly all gone, but I don't know where it came from.

I cut the daisies from scraps of white paper that has a sheen to it. The centres were coloured with Distress ink and candi was added as well. I cut and added the Rose Leaves also from the John Next Door range.

This sentiment is from Creative Expressions. It is quite useful as it makes the card more flexible to use.

I was quite pleased with how this card turned out. There are some other things I want to try now.
I just looked up the meaning of Daisy and it meas Day's Eye and it came from Old English. If we get another cow we might call it Daisy. 🐄

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Have a great weekend.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie

  11. Lovelyncard Jackie. I do like the Daisy die. Glad you are happy to have had your hair cut. I won’t be going yet. I am happy with my hair as it is at the moment. Take car and good luck with selling your cards. My exhibition at the local library is cancelled. The second year running. Last year without much notice the local council decided to close the library for renovations. Luckily I hadn’t started getting anything ready this year. Take care. Hugs.

  14. I wish you all the best at your table of cards, Jackie! It sounds like lots of fun! Hoping your COVID test comes back with good news and helps the study you are taking part in. I especially like how the daisies on your beautiful card have been colored. What a great die set. It's so versatile! We always named our cows, too. They came to us when we called out to them LOL - and their favorite treats were freshly mowed lawn clippings, cold watermelon rinds, and a variety of fruits that were too old to be eaten. We never had any plant-based waste because no matter what it was (peeled potatoes, banana peels, lettuce, green bean stalks) they always enjoyed eating them. Daisy is the perfect name for a new cow! big hugs to you, Jackie. de
