Fantasy Stampers - Peaches and Cream

I hope you have had a good week and something nice planned for the weekend. We have had a busy week visiting people and looking for a new vacuum cleaner after our  old one broke. As we are looking after our daughter's rabbits, who are rather messy, I didn't want to be without a vacuum cleaner for too long. We picked it up yesterday and I am very pleased with it.

The new challenge starts today on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the new theme is Peaches and Cream. That is such a pretty colour combination.

For the background I used the Victorian Swirl Embossing folder by Tattered Lace. I embossed some cream card and then some peach card and I cut them in half and  I tried the halves together to see which  combination I liked best. 

The roses were created with the Altenew Build-a- rose stamp and die collection that came free with Simply Cards and Papercraft a few months ago. It is nice to have the dies that match the stamps. 

This Happy Birthday stamp came free with another magazine a while ago. 

I did enjoy using these stamps again.

Altenew Roses Thank You

How was your weekend? I hope you had a great time. I spent most of Saturday making Christmas samples for Tattered Lace. Then on Sunday we went to the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show in Portsmouth. It was so nice to be out and about.

When I got my free Altnew Stomps with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine a couple of months ago I made two cards. I didn't get round to sharing the second one until now.

I have had the Spellbinders Lattice die in my stash for ages and I haven't really used it until now. I cut an aperture in the backing paper with an oval die and I made a frame for it with some of Sue Wilson's dies. I popped the lattice behind the aperture. 

The roses and leaves came with their own die to cut them out. 

The flag was another Sue Wilson die and the Thank you stamp came from the same set in the magazine. 

This is my stash from the Portsmouth Papercraft show. Some of it was given to me by my crafty friend. Spot the lace I am going to have a go at making flowers for our daughter' s wedding. Watch this space. 

After the papercraft show we went for a walk by the water we saw a Little Egret (above) and an Oyster Catcher (below). 

I enjoyed using these stamps I must get them out again soon.

Free Altenew Build a Rose Stamp

I hope you have had a chance to enjoy the lovely weather this week. I have certainly enjoyed being out and about in the sun.

The card I am sharing today is one that was made with the free gift from Simply Cards and Papercraft issue 149. It is the Altenew Build a Rose stamp and die set. Ever since I saw these stamps released in January I have been wanting to have a try with them and the gift gave me the perfect opportunity.

I had great fun creating the roses I had a try with different types of ink, The pink roses were stamped with Distress ink and the yellow and red ones with Adirondack inks. The leaves were created in the same way.  You can see in the background I have used my favourite heart lattice embossing folder. 

I made so many roses it was easy to create the wreath. I did get better with the stamps as I went along. 

The sentiment was in the set too. I stamped it on to one of Sue Wilson's pierced flags.  

I enjoyed using these stamps I will be using them again and I will be looking out for some more. I have also taken out a subscription to Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine because I enjoyed reading it so much.
