Thank goodness the weekend is here. I wonder what you have planned? The only thing we have on the agenda this weekend it going to see the comedian Lee Hurst at our local theatre. Yes, it is very local just 15 minutes walk from our house. It is amazing to be able to walk to a theatre it is quite small with just 300 seats but they do get some good acts there and it is a very good community resource.
I heard some very sad news in the week the mother of one of our friends died unexpectedly. I wanted to make a card to show that we were thinking of them. Sympathy cards are never easy to make.
I wasn't quite sure where to go with this card. I suppose I wanted something pretty and I didn't want to use black and white. I started by using the Heart Lattice Embossing folder for the background.
I cut an oval frame with some of Sue Wilson's dies I think they were from the Austrian collection. The ivy was cut with some other dies by Sue Wilson. The flowers were cut with some Spellbinder dies I wanted them to be in silhouette.
The background for the sentiment was cut with the centre dies from the set I used for the frame. The sentiment came from some dies I won from Hochanda a while ago,
I hope this card will say what I can't say with words.

It's a lovely card Jackie, I like that you haven't used black and white, the world can look very dark and dreary when you lose a loved one, so a little colour is a lovely touch. It's personal and serene. Re Lee Hurst, I've never seen him live so hope you enjoy it, would love to though, when I watch him on the TV he always tickles my funny bone :) Enjoy the rest of your weekend :) Debs x
