The Three Tenors digital stamp set from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you have had a good week. Well we have our route map now for our way out of lockdown. On a personal note we are still waiting for our vaccinations. I am sure they won't be far away. Hopefully we will have some nice weather this weekend for walks.

As you know I am one of the Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. This is Encore week where we get to work with a set of older images. This time it is the turn of The Three Tenors digital Stamp set. I made two projects with these images. I could have made more they are delightful.

I made a calendar. My hubby helped me with the cards for the calendar that fit inside the pocket.

As you can see I used the precoloured image. I made a wall on the computer. With my pencils I made the top of the wall for the cats to stand on.

At the top I placed a banner for the year. I used number dies from the John Next Door range.

Here is the other card. I thought this kitty was just so cute. The backing paper was in my stash. It is just one sheet of paper.

These images were lots of fun to work with.

Have a good weekend.

February Rudolph Days Challenge - Merry Christmas

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been. On Tuesday when the weather was nice we went down to  Hamble which is near us. You can walk by the River Hamble and there is a place to get take away coffee. It is nice  to go there and is about 10 minutes drive from where we live.

I like entering the Rudolph Days challenge which runs every month from the 25th to the end of the month. This is the only Christmas card I have made this month. I have been rather busy with some bits and pieces I will be able to share with you early in March.

You know me I am always on the look out for ways to use up my scraps of paper.

Used the flag dies that came with the Shutter Card Die Set from the John Next Door range to make the flags across the top of the card. I think the effect looks something like a curtain. The paper underneath I found in my stash.

The sentiment comes with the round bauble die set from the John Next Door range.

These reindeer come from the same die set.

Here is another card for my Christmas stash.

A Little Something Digital Stamps - By Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? How do you feel about the announcement on Monday about the gradual lifting of restrictions? We are still waiting for our first vaccination. I have a feeling that it will come sooner than we think.

I am one of Beccy's Place the Blog contributors. This means that I get lovely images to work with ahead of their release. This month the pretty image set A Little Something was released in digital and clear stamps.

I decided to make a decorated box and a set of matching cards that would make a nice gift for someone,

This image was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils. There is colour chart above the lid of the box. I made the background for the image on the computer. I used a scoring board to make the box. I have gifted this set of cards to a friend.

The images were so pretty I had to make more cards. This is a thank you card.

This is a slightly larger thank you card.

Here are all the makes together. This was such a lovely set of use. I am sure I will be using them again.

Easter Wishes pretty floral card.

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We had a quiet one as usual. On Saturday evening we do try to watch a film. There are a lot to choose from on Netflix etc. Last week we saw The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. This week we watched Late Night. We had some good news. We managed to get a Council tax refund for my parents as they are in receipt of Attendance Allowance. This has taken 6 months but we did get a whole years refund. Also our daughter went for a Covid test which came back negative. She was feeling poorly she is much better now.

I have been busy crafting but I can't share what I have been working on just yet. I found myself with a bit of time on Friday so I decided to make a few more Easter cards.

This is a DL Easter card.  The backing paper is from Polkadoodles.  I printed too much for a Design Team Project it was too pretty not to use.

I used the Stencil Sentiments die set from the John Next Door range to make the sentiment. It is great how you can use the dies to make different sentiments.

I used the Small Flowers and the Small Leaves die sets from the John Next Door range to make the flower spray. I made three cards like this and I cut the dies three times. This meant that I could match the leaves on each card. The dots are cut with the leaves die. The dots in the centre of the flowers was made with some Pearl PVA glue from Creative Expressions. All the flowers and leaves were made with scraps of paper.

I do want to make some more Easter cards. The next thing I need to make is an Anniversary card for my hubby it will be 39 years this year. I wonder if we will be able to celebrate next year.

Bright and Cheerful Birthday card.

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We are having a quiet week which is not really a surprise. I am working on some bits and pieces that I will be able to share with you soon.

Here is a birthday card I made from an old card. You know how much I like doing this.

I liked the shape at the edge of the original card. I chose the colour of one of the flowers  to make the mats and layers,

I used the Renmore dies set from the John Next Door range to cover the original sentiment. The Happy Birthday is a Crafter's Companion die.

This card went in the post yesterday. I hope the recipient likes it.

Have a good day.

Nautical Card for a poorly Friend

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? It was so cold on Saturday we did find it hard to go out for a walk. The Marks and Spencer Valentine's meal deal was very nice. Even if it wasn't lockdown this is the treat we would have had for Valentine's. I was also given some nice red, white and pink roses. I do like having flowers in the house.

We are part of a small group at our church. We have been meeting weekly on Zoom. This way we can keep in touch with each other and what is going on in our lives. One chap in the group is in a bad way. He is in the Spinal Unit in Salisbury hospital after two operations on his back left him unable to walk. He has been in hospital since October. One of the ladies in the group suggested we all sent him and his wife cards on the same day. I decided to make a card. Here it is.

Yes I went back to my Nautical Paper pad from the Works for this card. See the red dots in the corners they were made with the Mandala die set from John Next Door. I can use tiny bits of paper and get four dots with one pass of the die machine.

I mainly  used the Nautical Scenes dies that came free with a magazine a while ago to make the scene. The clouds were to only addition and they came from Crafter's Companion. I used the Double Pierced Circle dies from Creative Expressions to make the mats and layers. Making a scene like this is a great way to use up scraps of paper of which I have many,

The chap and his wife  were so touched by all the cards and messages they received. It was lovely to see their reaction when they joined us in the Zoom meeting on Thursday. We will have to think what we can do for them next.

Have a good week

Spring Rain - Colouring to Keep me Happy

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you have had a good week. The weekend is nearly here. Do you have any plans? We might have some longer walks depending on the weather. We will be doing the Valentine's Meal Deal from M&S. Hopefully there will be some good films to watch.

I have had a stressful couple of weeks. Though things seem to be a lot better now. I found that colouring with my pencils has helped a lot. Now I have a few coloured images that I wanted to make into cards. Here is one of them.

I remembered that I had a patterned paper with umbrellas on it. It did take me a while to find it. I used the Stitched flag dies to add some interest to the middle of the card. The patterned paper there came from a pad from the Works.

This is the Spring Rain image from StarStampz it is available HERE.  She was coloured with my Polychromo pencils. The image and the mats were cut with Tattered Lace dies.

This super die is from Crafter's Companion.

I enjoyed making this card. Just as a reminder there is the Anything Goes Challenge is still running at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog there is a chance to win 3 images from StarStampz.

Good Friends for Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How are we all doing? I am hearing of more and more friends being vaccinated. This can only be a good thing.

I am so lucky to be one of the Contributors for Beccy's Place the Blog and you can see my card HERE today.

The patterned paper for this card came from a paper pad from the Works.

The sentiment comes with the image set too.

I coloured the image with Faber Castell Polychromo Coloured Pencils. There is a colour chart in the image above.

This is a fun card.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Floral Happy Easter Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? On Tuesday we had a sprinkling of snow. By the evening it had gone. The snowdrops in the garden looked nice in the snow. I have been hearing of a lot of friends getting appointments for their vaccination. Maybe our wait won't be too much longer.

I am working on quite a few projects at the moment things that I can't show for a while. Before I started work on these I made a couple of Easter cards.

I used a mix of dies on this card. The Happy Easter die is from a Creative Expression set.

The leaves are the Laurel leaves die set from Creative Expressions. The flowers were cut with the Small flowers did from the John Next Door range.

I like this design and I am going to try it with some other dies that I have.  I would like to send a few Easter cards this year.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Sailing Boat themed Father's Day Shutter Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? Did you get snow? We managed to get out for walks on Saturday and Sunday. the rest of the time was spent doing puzzles, watching films and have Zoom chats.  It was cold on both days but we didn't get snow.

You know when you get an idea in your head and it won't go. I have been wanting to make my Father-in-law a card with the Shutter die set from the John Next Door range ever since I received it. I was going to make him one at Christmas but the time just got away from me. The next time he needs a card will be Father's Day so that is what I made. I also found a sheet of sailing boat images in my stash that I thought would be perfect.

I used my Nautical paper pad from the Works. I am so glad that I bought that paper pad it so useful. I did actually buy a second one that hasn't been started. I still feel it was a good investment. Can you see the small dots in the corners. I made those with the Mandala die set. I am well chuffed you can cut several dots at a time.

The tags come with the Shutter card die set. I love how thin the layers are when you cut all of the tags. I also treated myself to some more of the Stencil Sayings dies from the John Next Door range. I love how you can make up different phrases.

This is how I decorated the back of the shutters. I do like cutting out those little fish.

I know my father-in-law will like this card. His sight is failing and he loves a card with a bit of movement. In the Autumn he will be 97. That is amazing really.

Have a good week.

Football themed 60th Birthday Card and Cake Topper for a Saints Fan

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? Not much has happened here but then that is not surprising.

Last week my friend was asked to make a birthday cake for one of her neighbours. She wasn't given much notice and she asked if I could make a cake topper and a small card. I found out that he is a Saints (Southampton) fan and their colours are red and white. I do like a challenge I had never made a cake topper before.

Let's start with the card. It was good to know that he is a Saints fan. The backing paper was on my computer. I did smudge the middle of the footballs with a Posca pen. I used the  Stitched flags and the Happy Birthday sentiment from Creative Expressions. The numbers are John Next Door dies and the letter for the name were made with Crafter's Companion dies. The red and white paper was also printed from the computer. It was a Christmas paper.

This is the cake topper. I used Tonic dies to cut out the circles. I used red glitter card and white pearl paper.  The topper is double sided it looks the same on both sides. In the middle is a kraft card circle that I could glue the other circles to. I also cut a slot for the stick so that would lay a bit more flat. I used a mix to dies to make the message.

Here is the cake. I think the topper works quite well.

Andy liked his cake. He wasn't quite so thrilled about Saints the previous evening they had lost 9 - 0. Opps. Can you see his front door is red?

I did enjoy making this project. I find it much easier to make things when I have a purpose.

Poppy themed Mother's Day Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We are plodding along. Nothing much seems to change from week to week. I am sure it is the same for everyone.

Here is the Mother's Day card. I made for my mother-in-law. She loves poppies.

I started another card for my Mother-in-law but I didn't like it so I started again. I know she loves poppies so I got out my Creative Expressions' dies. I made all the mats and layers with the Stitched Lattice Frame die set.

This is a Signature die it is my go to for Mother's Day. I cut it twice once in Gold and once in black for a shadow.

These are the Exquisite Poppy dies and the Laurel Leaves dies both from Creative Expressions.

I know my Mother-in-law will like this card. It is such a shame that we can't see them. It is much better for them to be safe.
