Crafts Galore Encore #91 - Anything Goes - All Dressed Up

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Did you have a lovely weekend? We had a nice time looking after our daughter and son-in-law's dog. He was very good and he didn't whine. This meant that they could go out and look for a new bed in peace. We had a nice meal together when they got back. That was a nice way to finish the long weekend.

Today the new challenge starts at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog the theme is Anything Goes and the fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up

Here is the card I made:

The patterned papers came from my stash.

There are many wonderful images in the store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This image is called For You and it is available HERE. I coloured the image with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils. I used the Double Pierced Rectangle dies from Creative Expressions to cut out the image and it's mat.

This is a sweet little card. I am taking a break from the Crafts Galore Challenge blog this month. I won't be doing any comments and I won't be writing the winners post.

Have a lovely week.

Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog - May Challenge use your Favourite Colours - Sponsor All Dressed Up

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

This is my last post today. I promise.

The new challenge has started at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog the theme is use your favourite colours and the sponsor is All Dressed Up. Now me I like my traditional Christmas colours reds and greens mostly.

The snowy paper was in my stash I had enough left to fit a DL card.

There are many delicately beautiful images in the store click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This image is called Christmas Robins and it is available HERE.  I printed onto Neenah card stock and I coloured with my Promarkers. I cut the image out and when I did I lost to lovely musical notes that came with the image. I got my trusty Micron pen and I added some musical notes of my own. You will be seeing a lot more of my doodling. I am enjoying it so much.

I might make a few more cards with this image it is just right for Christmas. I have now made  55 Christmas cards for this year.

Crafty Catz Challenge blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Use some ribbon or twine

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? Have you got something nice planned for the weekend. On Saturday we will be attacking the ivy in our garden one more time. In the evening we are going to a Barbecue to meet other people who have invested in cows for our friends farm. I am quite excited about owning a cow. The best bit is that it will be on a farm in France we won't be looking after it ourselves. On Sunday we are going to the Portsmouth Papercraft show. I like to support local events. I have a list it should be fun.

Being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog, The theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of using ribbon or twine. The sponsor this time is Crafty Ribbons. We have a Guest Design Team Call for July if you are interested put GDT after your name when you enter and we will be in touch.

I treated myself to the Ribbon Threader die set from John Next Door. I love that the dies are so versatile that you can frame an image with them. The ribbon was left over from the first wedding invitations that I ever made and that was a while ago. The image is from All Dressed Up Stamps as far as I can tell she is called Sassy. The image was free in the Kit and Clowder colouring Facebook group. She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers.

If you like ribbons you are going to want to check out their store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

I was trying to show how the Ribbon Threader dies work.

Have a great weekend.

Crafty Catz Challenge blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? I hope you have something nice  planned for the weekend. Here in the UK we have a long weekend ahead of us. For us the Saturday will be spent doing jobs in the garden sadly last year with all the wedding prep we did the garden got away from us. On Sunday we will be visiting our parents again. We will be taking my parents out for a meal all our birthday come in the following week. We need to see my husband's parents to give back the hat and jacket that were borrowed for the Murder Mystery Meal. On Monday we will be meeting our daughter and son-in-law and having a meal together and we will be seeing Infinity War at the posh cinema in Southampton. That is a birthday treat for me.

Back to business being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. This time the theme Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers. The fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up Digi Stamps.  The prize is two images of choice to the winner.

I do love the shades of mauve that come in centura pearl card. The corners were cut with the  Cottage Garden die that came free with a magazine last year. The ribbon and doily were in my stash.

There are some truly beautiful images in the Store. If you click on the logo you will be taken there.

This image is called Girl on Bike and she is available HERE.  She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers. I then cut her out with my ScanNcut adding a border.

The sentiment I had in my stash.

This corner die set is so pretty.

Here we all are dressed up for our 1920's Murder Mystery Meal. Everyone made an effort and the hosts decorated brilliantly.

Here are me and my husband in our borrowed costumes. The dress I was wearing was so comfortable to wear. The lady with us was playing my daughter so it seemed right to be photographed together.

Here we all are sat down to eat. There were eight main parts and we all had a script. There were three scenes fitted in around the food. I won't let on who did it as some of you might get the chance to have a go at this one.

We had loads of fun and we raised £140 for Macmillan cancer support. The pack for the event came from them. I do hope they do one next year.

I am going to save this card for someone who loves biking.

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend nearly here. Today I will be helping at another Felting workshop.  Tomorrow I am going to a Craft workshop with my crafty friend we might just be making Christmas cards. While I am at the workshop my husband is going to take his 90 year old mum to Mottifont to see the Kaffe Fassett textile exhibition.  In the evening we are going to my brother-in-law's 60th birthday party. How did we all get to be so old?

I am enjoying these regular blog posts for the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge blog I get to work with  some wonderful images. This time the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Girls like to have Fun.  The sponsor is All Dressed Up  Stamps.

I created the background with Distress Oxides, I love using these. When it was all dry (I used a heat gun)  I stamped a music stamp using Perfect Medium and heat embossed it with a black sparkly powder.

There are many gorgeous images in the Etsy store if you click on the image you will be taken there.

This image is called Just So Cool and can be purchased HERE.  She was coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment is my favourite LOTV birthday stamp.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Not Just Cards Challenge Blog - Design Team

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope that you have had a great weekend and got done everything that you wanted to do. We were so busy on Saturday (yes we did it all) that it was lovely to have a day relaxing at home yesterday. Now it is all back to work but for me it is not long to the end of term and I have a lovely cruise to look forward to, I am so lucky.

Have you guessed my crafty news? I feel very privileged that Lori Thomas has asked me to join her Design Team at the Not Just Cards Challenge Blog after she took it over running it a couple of months ago.

This is my first design piece for them and it  uses  an image from the Etsy Store Alldressedupstamps and is called Magical Day . They are one of our sponsors this month we have some other sponsors and the rest of the Design Team have used some of their images. This image proved very popular and three of us used it all in very different ways.

I printed the image onto 160 gsm card and I coloured it with my Promarkers. I wanted the card to have a pretty soft pastel theme.

I used my Faux Quilled leave Sue Wilson die to cut the leaves and my Sizzix Tattered Floral die to make the flowers. The centers  were made with a Spellbinders die it comes with a different flower. This where I confess that I bought the die set just for the center die. I also added a CS PVA pearl glue dot to the middles.

This is what I bought on Saturday at the Newbury Papercraft show. Someone was demonstrating  Brushos and I just couldn't resist. It was a brilliant show costing £3 to get in and we were all given a goody bag of bits that must have been worth more that £3. There is another show planned for January 23rd  next year and there is a Facebook page where you can keep up with updates.

So my first card for NJC Design Team the theme of the all challenges is always "Anything Goes". There will be prizes of Digi stamps from the sponsors of the different challenges.

I hope that you have a good week.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie
