Crafty Catz Challenge blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? I hope you have something nice  planned for the weekend. Here in the UK we have a long weekend ahead of us. For us the Saturday will be spent doing jobs in the garden sadly last year with all the wedding prep we did the garden got away from us. On Sunday we will be visiting our parents again. We will be taking my parents out for a meal all our birthday come in the following week. We need to see my husband's parents to give back the hat and jacket that were borrowed for the Murder Mystery Meal. On Monday we will be meeting our daughter and son-in-law and having a meal together and we will be seeing Infinity War at the posh cinema in Southampton. That is a birthday treat for me.

Back to business being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. This time the theme Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers. The fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up Digi Stamps.  The prize is two images of choice to the winner.

I do love the shades of mauve that come in centura pearl card. The corners were cut with the  Cottage Garden die that came free with a magazine last year. The ribbon and doily were in my stash.

There are some truly beautiful images in the Store. If you click on the logo you will be taken there.

This image is called Girl on Bike and she is available HERE.  She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers. I then cut her out with my ScanNcut adding a border.

The sentiment I had in my stash.

This corner die set is so pretty.

Here we all are dressed up for our 1920's Murder Mystery Meal. Everyone made an effort and the hosts decorated brilliantly.

Here are me and my husband in our borrowed costumes. The dress I was wearing was so comfortable to wear. The lady with us was playing my daughter so it seemed right to be photographed together.

Here we all are sat down to eat. There were eight main parts and we all had a script. There were three scenes fitted in around the food. I won't let on who did it as some of you might get the chance to have a go at this one.

We had loads of fun and we raised £140 for Macmillan cancer support. The pack for the event came from them. I do hope they do one next year.

I am going to save this card for someone who loves biking.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Have a great weekend.

Cheerful Daffodils for Mother's Day

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I am a bit late posting today as I had an Open Reach engineer here most of the morning trying to sort out the problems with our internet. Hopefully it is working properly now only time will tell.

You know I like to get ahead with my cards. So today I made a Mother's Day card. They are fine to share as neither of our Mothers do Social Media of any kind.

The backing papers I had in my stash.

This is a signature die.

I cut the Spring Daffodil dies from Creative Expressions and I decided to put them in pots which I cut with Spellbinder dies.

For the corners I used the Cottage Garden die that came with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine last year.

I had a lovely piece of news my blog (yes this one) was featured in the Sally's Ones to Watch section of the February issue on Making Cards Magazine.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Being the start of the month I will be back with two blog posts tomorrow. It does get busy in Blogland at the beginning of the month.

Happy Crafting

Crafty Catz Challenge - Anything Goes with the optional theme Ladies Day

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

This is my final post of the day - phew. For this month I am the Guest Designer on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes with the optional theme of Ladies Day. We had some wonderful images to work with from the sponsor Rick St Dennis.

I cut the image and the mats and layers for it with my Double Pierced Rectangle dies from Creative Expressions. The corners were decorated with the Cottage Garden die that came from Papercraft Essentials magazine.

Rick has lots of wonderful images in his store if you click on the image you should be taken there to have a little look.

Isn't this a fabulous image by Rick St Dennis she is called Morning Goddess Bon Bons. She was coloured with Promarkers. I hadn't used them for a while and it was good to brush up on my skills.

I wanted a quirky message and I found this one amongst my Visible Image stamps.

I die enjoy making this card the image is amazing.

That is all from me for a while.

Enjoy the weekend.
