A Bit More Time to Craft - April 15th Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How are you all doing? What was Easter like for you? It looks like I will be spending my birthday (9th May)  in lockdown. Oh well there are worse things.

The new challenge starts at the A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge blog. The theme is always Anything Goes.

This is the last Easter card I will share with you. I didn't make many this year events overtook me.

I used the Day Star papers to make this card.

Our challenge are always fun and there are lovely digi papers to win. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

The sunburst die came free with a magazine. The tulip die is from Crafter's Companion and the flowerpot is a Spellbinders die.

This is a Creative Expressions die. I do like to mix up the dies I am using.
This is the drawing that our daughter made for our little family at Easter. It features me and my hubby, our Daughter and Son-in-law, his parents and the bunnies. It was so lovely to receive this digitally. I have printed a copy and it is in our lounge.

I did make two versions of this card using different colours of the Day Star papers.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

I wonder what will be coming in the next few weeks.

Stay safe and well.

Easter Makes for our good Friends

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you have had a good week and are ready for the weekend ahead. I am home alone today. My husband and his brothers are off to see a house they own to try to decide what to do with it. My plan  is to work on the card I am making for my husband's special birthday this year. It is quite complicated and will take me a while to complete. It is okay for me to share about it here as he never looks at my blog. He is very supportive though.

I bought our friends a small bottle of flavoured gin for Easter. I was looking at the bottle and I decided to make a gift box for it. Then I made a matching card. Finally I made a matching gift bag for the fudge I bought at the same time as the gin.

Lets start with the card.

I have had the Gerberas Dies Pop Out Panel from the John Next Door range from Crafts-Too for a while now. It was easy cutting the panel three times to make this card. I did press each of the petals out.

I decided to make an Opera Box for the gin. I wanted the box to be taller than the original die. So I checked on John's Blog and I cut the card to the length I wanted it and I scored five panels at 5cms each. The Pop Out Panel fitted nicely onto the box panels. I backed each panel with yellow. I made a Gerbera for the top of the box.

On my blog I have a page for making a gift bag. I made this one a little taller so the Pop Out  panel would fit.

Our friends were thrilled with the gifts and the card. I know they liked the gin they sent us a photo. I do hope they make some more panels that will fit the Opera Box die set.

Easter Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We saw our daughter yesterday we had a nice meal and we did make the bouquet I have just got to do the finishing touches. That is something else ticked off the list. The bridesmaid's bouquets are finished too.

I have made a few more Easter cards. In fact four of this design. I think I have enough now. Not many people send Easter cards anymore I like to though it is my favourite holiday.

I ordered some of the new colours of Centura Pearl card from Crafter's Companion. I used the Pistachio green on this card. The yellow is some other card from my stash,

I stamped the Blessed Easter stamp from Stampin Up onto watercolour card with Watering Can Archival ink. Then I coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I made the frame with dies from the Innsbruck set from the Austrian collection from Creative Expressions.

I was going to  use some lace and then I spotted my Gemini Carina die.

Enjoy the last evening of the weekend.

Easter Card

Hi My crafty Blog Friends

How is you week going? I hope everything is okay for you. We are plodding along. Life is almost back to normal.

I actually thought of this design as I was walking to work this morning. Then there was a bit of a struggle to remember  when I got home.

This is quite a small card just 6" x 6". I am loving my Double Pierced Square dies. You will probably see them used on a lot of my cards from now on. It is so much quicker to use them than pierce around the mat with a piercing ruler. I did use lots of bits from my bits box to make this card.

The flowers were cut with Daisy Cluster die set by Sue Wilson. The bigger die was cut in green and the flowers in pink. The cross was cut with a Spellbinder die in gold. You can just about see the bunnies I added by the sentiment. I want to make about 20 Easter cards I might make a version of this card.

Here is my stash from the Newbury Craft show. A lot of it comes from the goodie bags we were given on the way in.  I am going to share some of this with a couple of crafty friends.

Quite a quick post from me today. There is lots to do.

I would like to join in with Pixie's Snippets Playground Week 213.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Easter Lilies

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a good week. Well the weekend is here now. We are going interview clothes shopping with our daughter as she has some interviews coming up. It will lovely to spend some time together. Don't forget about the clocks going forward an hour tonight.

This is my Design Team card for the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog this time the theme is Easter.

I started by cutting the aperture in the top mat of some stamping card, with a Sizzix thinlet die . Then I stamped the lilies from the Easter Lilies set by Heartfelt Creations in black archival and heat embossed them with a clear sparkly embossing powder.

I coloured the lilies with Promarkers.

I stamped the crosses from the same set  of stamps  as the lilies onto the piece of card that was cut from the original mat. I made a few  masks so that I could  ink round the crosses with Distress ink. The mat with the lilies on was  put on to some mounting foam so it was slightly raised. This meant that  the crosses could be sunk  into the aperture.  The black frame  was made using  two of the Sizzix thinlet dies from the same set I used to make the aperture.

Happy Easter was stamped with a Clarity Stamp with CS Perfect Medium and heat embossed with a gold embossing powder.

I have only recently started using Heartfelt Creations stamps I must say I am very impressed with the quality. I hope you have a great weekend.

Easter Wishes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Here we are Thursday afternoon one more day and it is the weekend. I must remember that clocks go forward an hour, it always takes me by surprise.

I made this card for my friend  to go with a small Easter gift  she collected them this afternoon. I hope she likes them.

This is quite a small card just 6" x 6".

The image came from one of last year's Easter cards I just cut it to the size I wanted with a die and I inked around the edge.

I have a beautiful daffodil stamp by Heartfelt creations I used it to create the background I stamped it with CS Perfect Medium and then heat embossed with a gold embossing powder.

The ribbon I had in my stash and the sentiment was stamped with a Clarity Stamp.

I used a lot of Snippets to make this card, I do have a never ending supply, I would like to enter Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 169.

I hope your Easter plans are going well. I think I know what we are doing now but anything could change.

Easter Cards

Hi My Craft Blog Friends

I hope you have had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. I am a lot better the antibiotics seem to have done the trick. One slight problem is that my hearing has been affected but I think that will be sorted soon.

I have worked out that I need about twenty Easter cards this year. I don't usually make many Easter cards but this year I am working in a bigger team and they seem to like giving cards. Where I have been ill I have got behind with a lot of my projects. So I needed a simple design that I could make relatively quickie - nothing I make is particularly quick.

This is not unlike the design of the Get Well card I made for myself. I don't usually do gutting when I make cards but I had an epiphany with these cards. I was looking at my Tonic basic square dies and realized that I could cut the the smaller mats from the bigger mats. The card blanks I am using are 6" x 6". The dies work well with this size.

This is my cutting plate loaded up with dies this means all the coloured card can be cut in one pass through the Grand Calibur. I wouldn't do this without tapping the dies down in place you wouldn't want them to overlap.

The egg is a Spellbinder die. I used the Heart Lattice embossing folder. The inking was done with a Distress ink.  I am  making these in lots of different colours.

I was working on these yesterday and I have made them in  purple, mauve, blue, green, yellow, and pink. I have tried to keep the colours fresh and spring like.

My plan for Saturday is to work on the wedding invites. My husband is going to help me with the printing and I will make the sample invitation while he is doing that. Then we can arrange another meet up with the happy couple. Have you got any crafty plans?

Happy Crafting
