Fa La Llama!

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We had a whirlwind of a time. On Saturday we visited our parents. We took my husband's parents out for a meal. Then we visited my parents and had a cup of tea with them. On Sunday we were catching up with jobs around the house when we got the message that my husband's mother had been taken into hospital. We later got the message that she was feeling a bit better but was staying in for observations. Today we will be popping up to see her after my husband finishes work.

On to the card for today. Do you remember that the card I made for our daughter's birthday got lost is in the post. Well it did turn up. So I didn't need this replacement that I made. It is another one that can go in the art sale in August.

I used lots of bits of patterned paper from my stash to make the background.

This cute llama comes from the Llama Love digi stamp set from Imaging That Digistamp that is available HERE.  I used the pre-coloured llama and the sentiment came in the set too. In the background is my own photo.

Have a great week. I will keep everyone up to date about my mother-in-law.

llama Love twisted easel Birthday Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? The sun is shining here today maybe it will be a better day.

This is the birthday card that I made for our daughter's birthday back at the end of May.

I do like a twisted easel card. All the papers I used were in my stash

This image is from the Llama Love set from Imagine That Digistamp. It is mostly a Christmas image set but this cute llama is included as well. I used a precoloured image that way I could use my own photo to create the  background. I did fussy cut a llama to lay over the top of the image to give some dimension.

This was a topper that I had in my stash. It made a great stopper for the easel.

Yesterday I heard some very sad news. My crafty friend Erika passed away the previous evening. She had a very short illness, it took her very quickly. I only met her a few times but we had lots of contact through social media. With her husband she lived on the same estate as our daughter and son-in-law. Erika made a big impact on the craft community she will be missed. RIP Erika ❤

Back to the card. I made a matching gift card holder. Now the sad thing about this card is that it was lost in the post and our daughter never received it. When I share this post it will be the first time that she will see it. I really ought to make a replacement card.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week.

Winter Wonderland Challenge Blog - theme Cute Christmas

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitor

Here we are at the end of the week again. The weekend beckons. Before that I will be helping at a Felting Workshop this time I think we will be making purses. I am hoping to make it to the Ally Pally Craft show on Saturday. On Sunday the plan is to go to a Cruise show in Ascot.

The new challenge starts today at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog and the theme (chosen by me as I am hosting this challenge) is Cute Christmas. When I saw the images, from our fantastic sponsor, it really could be anything else. The sponsor is Imagine That.

The I used my own photo of trees for the background. I do like to use my own photos like this.

There are many wonderful image sets in the store. If you click on the logo you will be taken there.

The image set I used is called Llama Love and it is available HERE. I used one of  the precoloured llama images and placed it onto  the background I had created. It is so easy to flip digital images to created a facing pair. On the hats I used Fluffy Stuff to create some dimension. There is so much in this set even images that can be used not just for Christmas.

This sentiment came in the set. I splatted some white paint over the whole card to make it look like it is snowing.

This sentiment comes in the set too.

This is the set there really is a lot here and the images are in PNG and JPEG format.

I think these images make super cute Christmas cards. I am looking forward to using these images again.

Winter Wonderland Tribute Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

This is the second post for me today. This is my second challenge with the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog and this one is special both teams are involved and it is a tribute to the founder of the blog who sadly passed away.  The sponsor this time is Imagine That Digistamp.

I create the background for the image with my computer. I used a snowy photo of our back garden that I had taken. With auto shapes I added the snow at the bottom.

There are some gorgeous image sets in the store. If you click on the logo you will be taken there. It is worth a visit.

This is image is called Sweet Deer and is available HERE. I used the pre-coloured image that came in the set. As it is a PNG image I could put it straight onto the background. I used a punch to cut some snowflakes.

I generated a computer sentiment.

I like this card a lot and I think I am going to make some more of them. They are nice and flat for posting.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. I will be working on wedding invitations for the wedding in Malta.

Happy Crafting
