LOTV Wedding Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend and are now fighting fit for the week ahead. We visited our daughter and did lots of jobs in the house. When her fiance got home we went out for a nice meal. Then on Sunday we saw our friend who lost his wife recently we had another very nice meal out. So not much cooking for me this weekend.

A friend asked me to make a wedding card for her. The bride and groom wanted money as a gift so she thought a nice card would be a good idea I tried hard not to let her down.

For the background I used a Spellbinder's corner die. I cut four and placed them in the corners over a patterned paper.

This is a Crafter's Companion die. I cut it twice so I could create a shadow.

The image came from the LOTV Occasions Set 3. This is such a useful set. I stamped with black archival onto water colour card and then coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I coloured the image first and my colouring suggested the colours for the rest of the card. Blues was the suggestion by my friend but it became more teal. To frame the image I used some dies from the Innsbruck set from the Austrian Collection by Sue Wilson.

I used the Sue Wilson Esquiste Poppy die set to create the flowers and the Olive branch die set to make the foliage.

My friend was very pleased with this card. I am very pleased that she like it.

Have a great week.

New Baby Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a good week. The weather here has been a bit variable but it is nice when the sun is out. After all we all need our Vitamin D.

One of my husband's work colleague's wife has just had a baby boy. I was asked to make a card for everyone at the office to sign. I seem to make this type of card quite often.

This is an 8" x 8" card and it has an extra insert so there is lots of room to sign. As this card was for a baby boy it had to be blue. The frame  for the image was made with the Double Pierced Squares sets A and B by Sue Wilson. The bunting is another Tattered Lace die.

This is my go to Congratulations die it is made by Tattered Lace,

This was cut with an Emerald die set that I won from Hochanda. I can't say I don't win anything.

This little guy comes from the LOTV Occasions 3 stamp set. Of course depending on the colours the baby can be a girl. It is a very useful stamp. The little hearts came with the Mr and Mrs die set by Sue Wilson.

I have joined Bloglovin and I would love it if you followed me there of course I would follow you in return.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

LOTV Sunflower Wedding and my pictures from Ally Pally

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been going. I went back to school on Monday and I was on a trip,  this involved standing in the rain for an hour and not managing to get warm all day. The children we took had a lovely time and that is the main thing. If only we had gone today the weather is so much nicer and more of the activities could have been done outside.

We have another family wedding in July this time I am not involved with making anything only our card and a small gift. At Ally Pally on Sunday I got some grey ink, I couldn't get Watering Can but I did get London Fog,  I used it to stamp the sunflowers for the background. They were heat embossed with a clear powder. I chose three shades of Distress ink and inked all over the background. I found the pretty lace in my stash. When I am at Craft shows I often buy bags of off cut  lace and ribbon this gives me the chance to try things out before I commit to buy lots of something.

The image, which came from the LOTV Occassion 3 stamp set,  was stamped onto watercolour paper with black Archival ink.  I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens and I moved the colour around with a paint brush and some water. I love colouring images this way.

Here you can see a bit more detail of the background using the grey ink made it more subtle.

Here are some of the pictures we took on Sunday when we were at Ally Pally I had such a nice time and everyone was so nice.

Wendy the Spanish Crafter (she was helping on the Creative Expressions stand)

John Lockwood he gave me back my cards that he had borrowed for some of his Hochanda shows.

In the packet he popped a lovely stamp set. I will be using that soon.

Charlie Hopkins from Hochanda

Sue Wilson

While we were there we attended one of the shows going out live on Hochanda it was the last show of the day. You can just see me poking my head round the presenters waving goodbye. But between them you can see my husband looking rather grumpy.

This is my stash. Not all of it for me and some of it was free when you sat down to watch the shows being filmed. We did buy two more storage units for my craft bits so we spent loads.

You might have noticed that there is no sentiment on this card. The finished card will have one but I chose to use a die that I was sent from Tattered Lace recently  and that won't be on sale until the weekend.

I would like to enter this week's challenge at Through the Craft Room Door.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting.

Fantasy Stampers - New Baby

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Welcome to the weekend. I wonder what you have planned? We are off to look at another wedding venue with our daughter and her fiancé. This time we are going to Beaulieu, the home of the national motor museum, in the New Forest.

Today is also the day  for a new challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog and the theme is New Baby.

I made this card with one of the stamps that comes in the LOTV Occasions 3 stamp set. It is such a useful set there is this baby, a bride and groom, a sick teddy with a nurse and two bunnies in love. It is the baby stamp I have used the most. When my husband said that he needed a new baby card for someone at work I knew exactly which stamp to use. Being a stamp you can colour it how you want to make either a girl baby or a boy baby you can even make twins or triplets.

As a baby girl had been born I coloured the image in soft pinks using my Promarkers. I used the Double Pierced Square dies to cut the image and the mats.

The sentiment comes with the stamp set.

I was told that the couple liked the card. We did put a small gift in as well.

If you check back on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog tomorrow the winners of the last challenge will be announced. I will be on my way to Ally Pally I have a shopping list and I am buying some bits for other people. I will also be seeing John Lockwood to get back the cards I sent him for his TV shows. I sent him a message and he has packed them so hopefully that will be okay.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Crafting
