Wedding Makes and Wedding Photos

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We very much enjoyed the wedding on  Saturday and then we had a a day with our daughter on Sunday followed by a day to chill on Monday.

Now on to what I promised I would show you.

Here are most of the things I made for the wedding. I did make some evening invitations but I couldn't find one of those to put in this picture.

Here are the happy couple surrounded by some of  their family and friends. The wedding and the reception all took place in the Explosion Museum in Gosport.

This is the card I made for them I kept the theme of the invitations for the design.

A little gift that I made for them I did blog this a few weeks ago. I am planning to make another one as another cousin is getting married in July.

This is the reading that was read at the wedding.

This is the table plan at the venue. I was very pleased with how this turned out. The happy couple gave me an admiralty chart which we found a frame for. You can just about see the silver ships they were cut with my ScanNcut I was so pleased that this worked. My husband helped a lot he did all the work on the computer. Even finding me silhouettes of warships to be cut with the ScanNcut.

All the tables had one of these cards on them. The tables were named after missiles.

On the back of the table card were instructions to get a code to open the padlock on a crate which contained things we needed for the reception.

Everyone had a place card and helpfully we had put their  menu choices inside.

There was an Ammo crate for cards and presents.

There was also a sweet buffet table.

This is the cake made of cheese and the brides bouquet.

It was a very well organised wedding and lots of fun. There were lots of things for the guests today including a photo booth where many very silly photos were taken.

Not so silly with my husband's parents and our daughter and her fiancĂ©,

Very silly with our daughter and her fiancĂ© my husband is hiding.

The next wedding I will be making things for will be our daughter's wedding in fact we are visiting a venue with them on Wednesday.

Take care.

Creative Artiste - Wedding Gift

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been? It is nearly the weekend not long to go now. Like on Tuesday this is the first of two posts for me today, again the start of two challenges has coincided.

This post is for the new challenge that starts on the Creative Artiste Challenge Blog. The theme is "Anything Goes" with a twist of using chipboard. The sponsor is Scrapmatts.  I have just come back after having a two month break the team were very understanding when my husband had his accident and things just got a bit too much for me. Things have improved greatly at home and I am in a much better place.

I am sharing a gift I have made for the couple that I have been  making the wedding stationery for.

I wanted to make something like this after we went to their house and discovered that they had fridge Scrabble. I used an 8" x 8" shadow box frame.  The background was made to match the wedding invitations. I used my Gelli plate to mix and print three shades of Distress ink. Once it was dry I used a mask to ink through with silver to make the netting pattern.

I bought two lots of letter tiles so that we had lots to play with. We had fun planning out the words my husband helped me. You could make something like this for any occasion just by changing the words and the colours.

This shows the detail of the background a bit more clearly.

The wedding is on Easter Saturday. I still have a few things to make. We are having one last meeting to go over what I need to do.

I hope you have a great weekend. We are off to Reading for one night.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie
