Wedding Card for a few People to Sign.

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I can't believe we have got to the end of June. I am still busy making things that I can't share yet. Later today I am getting my hair cut. I am so looking forward to that.

Here is a wedding card I made for the lady who is in charge of invigilating at our local secondary school. She and her now hubby got married last weekend. When we invigilators found out we decided on a joint card and a joint present. Of course I offered to make the card.

This is an 8" x 8" card as it had to be signed by a few people. For the background I used one of the Claritystamp Designer papers. I edged the card with one of the Firth park tags. I cut two and cut them in half.

This is the Firth Park Frame die set. I did thread a ribbon through it. The sentiment was cut with the Stencil sentiment die set. The hearts were the waste from another die. To be honest was going to share this card a few weeks ago and then I realised that I had used a die that hadn't been released yet.

I made up the Prewinkle flowers and I added a pearl to the centre of each. I used twigs and foliage dies to go with the flowers. I did make a box to put the card in.

I know the lady in question loved this card. I do hope the wedding went well for her. She did seem rather stressed about it all as they had to make lots of changes to their plans when we didn't come out of lockdown.

I will be back tomorrow with another card.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting

Cute Robin Christmas Card for the Rudolph Days Challenge

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We had a quiet one. I have a crafty deadline to meet so I was working on that. My hubby caught up with various jobs about the place.

Well I nearly forgot this month's the Rudolph Days Challenge. I have been making a lot of Christmas cards but none that I can share jet. Their time will come.

This is a cute little card. The patterned paper was in my stash.

This was a little card we received for Christmas. The robin was so cute I just had to make it into another card. The greeting was added with one of John Next Door dies.

I have been making lots of Christmas cards but none for us to use. When I get a bit of time I will have to make some more.

Have a great week.

Art Deco Birthday Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? We have been rather busy. On Wednesday we celebrated my mother-in-law's 94th birthday. It was a lovely day and we were able to have lunch in the garden with friends and family. We were in charge of bringing the food. It was such a nice occasion to be at. Today I am helping at another felting workshop I helped at one yesterday. I helped at one yesterday and I made a poppy picture.

I had a bit of time to catch up on some of the makes I will need soon. My friend's birthday is in September it is good to get ahead.

My friend love Art Deco ladies. I save all the cards that I get with these images on to make cards for her. The outside frame was made with the Presscut Art Deco Cassandre die. I know the Art Deco dies were popular.

I had these pretty cornflowers that were left over from another project. I added gems to the centres. I had some of the small leaves left over too.

This tag comes with the Cassandre die and I used the stencil sentiments dies to make the sentiment.

This image started life as thank you card. It is amazing what you can do when you can hide the old sentiment.

It is fine for me to share my friend's card. She doesn't indulge in Social Media.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Father's Day lovely Hubby

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? Today we are going to the 94th Birthday party of my mother-in-law. We are taking the food. It will be an afternoon tea. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can all be in the garden. I will let you know how is all goes.

Today I am sharing the Father's Day Card that I made for my hubby. When I first made it I wasn't going to share it as I thought it was quite simple. I decided it was worth a share on Sunday.

I used some of the paper from the Fresh Feeling Paper pad from The Works. I was able to use up some of the larger strips of paper.

I reused an old card. The scene reminded me of holidays we used to have. Hopefully this year we will get away for a while. My hubby keeps asking when we can go away. The card and it's mats and layers were cut with the double pierced square dies from Creative Expressions.

This is a Signature die I have had it for a while and it has been very useful.

We did have a lovely day on Sunday. I know my hubby liked his card.

Have a good day.

Happy crafting.

Happy 70th Birthday

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good weekend. On Sunday we spent the day at our son-in-law's parents house. It the first time we have all been together in a long time. They have done some improvements to their garden which had made it very nice.

Yesterday was the birthday of one of our friends who likes Star Trek as much as we do. Our daughter has been drawing some images for me to use.

The image was drawn by our daughter.

I added a sentiment with  the computer. The white stars were made with a Posca pen.

I know our friend loved her card. She had a lovely birthday celebrating with her family in the garden.

Have a good week.

Diamond Point Christmas Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been. I have been busy. I found the invigilating quite tough this time. I  have been working on some design team bits and pieces too. Just yesterday afternoon I made a Christmas card that I can share with you. Sorry I have been neglecting my blog. There just isn't enough time.

I had a bit of time at the end of the afternoon yesterday and I went to my stash of old cards. I found a nice small card with a cute robin on it. I have been enjoying making Diamond Point cards and I had a go at another one.

I found some old Stampin Up paper in my stash. The colours suited the old card very well.

Isn't that robin cute.

I haven't made a Christmas card for my stash for a while. Underneath the flap I placed a white label cut with a Spellbinders die. You need to be able to write somewhere.

Underwater with the Fishes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We had a busy day on Saturday and on Sunday we had a quiet day at home. I have been making lots of things that I can't share yet and there are exciting things in the pipeline. So I might not be blogging as much. I don't expect anyone will mind. I also have one week of invigilating left.

A little while ago I had a play with my underwater dies. Here is the result.

I think the backing paper was leftover from another project. I do like making thinner cards from time to time.

The fish were cut with off cuts of designer paper. I had to raid my scraps of green paper bag for the seaweed.

I added the happy birthday later. I often leave my cards on display. Sometimes when I look at them I can see what might need to be added it is also a way to check that nothing drops off the card.

This is another card for my stash.

Have a good week

Happy 30th Birthday Box Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We had a quiet one. I needed a bit of down time after visiting my parents last week. Yesterday  started two weeks of invigilating for me. There are just a few of us going in. We are having the children who need extra time for their mocks. We can also read for them. The rest of the year group are taking their mocks in the classroom with their teachers.

A few weeks ago it was our daughter's 30th Birthday. How did that happen? I had to make a special card. So this is a larger box card. I have made a few of these this year.

For this card I actually drew the backing paper. It was something we did in the doodling sessions with Barbara Gray a while back.

I used lots of John Next Door dies to complete this care. The Stencil Alphabet dies are so good for personalising a card. I used the Stencil Numbers too and the Stencil Sentiments. The flowers were made with the Tatty Daisy die. There are also some Small Flowers and Small Leaves on there.

Our daughter loved this card. We had a lovely day together on the day. They have the dog now so she couldn't have a party. Hopefully one day the doggy will be able to cope with groups of people.

Have a good week.

As I am invigilating not much crafting is going to happen.

Happy crafting

Presscut Art Deco Dies for Crafts-Too and John Next Door

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you are having a good weekend. Having seen my parents last week there has been a lot to sort out. I have manged to fit in a little crafting. My A4 die cutting machine finally gave up on Friday. I am working on getting a replacement. I do have the Kaleido but I need an A4 machine for bigger dies. My hubby is being very supportive. I am sure something will be sorted soon.

Here are the cards and other bits I made with the Presscut Deco dies that are being released by John Next Door on the Craft Store at 6.00 pm today.

I do like extending the use of the dies I am given. This is a shaker card with some butterflies in the centre.

Often when I have the coloured card out for one card another card will suggest itself. This time I have made a square card with a rectangular die. This time I made flower with the Small Flowers die.

I think this is my favourite card. I just love the colours and the way the die work. I added  flowers made with the Periwinkle die. I used an off cut from the background paper. The sentiments I used came from the Deco Butterflies die set.

I love making boxes. The acetate I used in this one came from packaging and has gold dots on it. When I had made the box I went out to buy the chocolates to go in it. The colours were just perfect. I added another Periwinkle flower.

Here is a gift bag with more Periwinkle flowers.

This was a fun set of dies to use. Look out for them in other makes. I am sure I will be using them a lot.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend. I have two weeks of invigilating coming up.

Square Scene Box - Christmas card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? We visited our parents on Wednesday. They both live quite close together around Aldershot. It was nice to see them again after quite a long while. The rest of the week has been busy too. There always seems to be so many things that need sorting out.

I recently acquired the Square Scene Bos die set from the John Next Door range. This is my first try at using it.

I watched one of John Next Door's videos on how to use the die set. I decided to use is with the Sam's Stars die set. I used foam tape to make the layers in the scene.

I made a big blousy poinsettia with the Poinsettia die and Poinsettia Swirl die all from John Next Door. For foliage I used the Ivy Spray die set.

I was pleased with how this card turned out. I am keen to try some of my other 5" x 5" John Next Door dies with the Square Scene box. This card will be one of those that gets hand delivered.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog - Challenge #88 Anything Goes Sponsor Fred She Said

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Here we are at the start of June. The new challenge has started at the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. The theme is always Anything Goes and the sponsor this time is Fred She Said.

Here is the cute little card that I made.

I had the backing paper in my stash. In fact I had this paper in mind when I coloured the image.

There are many wonderful images is the store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This cute little image is called Smelling the Cherry Blossom and is available HERE.  She was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo Colouring pencils. To cut out the image and it's mat I used the Stitch dot and plan oval dies from Presscut.

I added flowers made with the Periwinkle die from the John Next Door range.

I do enjoy my colouring.
