Crafty Catz Challenge blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Baby Cards

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Welcome to my second post of the day. You all know that on a Friday a new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of making a Baby Card. The Design team have done a great job using their own images. The sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps.

I decided to make a baby card for my stash so I didn't want it to be gender specific.

There are many wonderful images in the store if you click on the logo you will be taken there.

I stamped this image with Watering Can archival and then coloured it with my Spectrum Noir sparkle pens. The stamp is by Penny Black and is called Baby Hammock. I have had this stamp for a while.

I cut the sentiment with a small die.

I hope that you have a great weekend.

New Baby Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a great week. The weather here has been rather kind.

I was asked to make a new baby card for a colleague of my husband. The request was for it to be not gender specific.

I decided to go for yellows and greens. The paper and card were in my stash. I cut a frame for the image with Innsbruck die set from the Austrian Collection designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

The cute hedgehog is a stamp by Penny Black called Baby Hammock. I added the sentiments top and bottom from a stamp set by LC Designs. All the stamps were stamped with Watering Can Archival and the image was coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

I used the Delicate Daisy dies and the Faux Quilled Leaves single leaf to create the flowers and leaves. Those are Sue Wilson dies too.

I was pleased with how this card turned out. I often make cards for people at my husband's work.

Poppy Mother's Day Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you had a good weekend and are now ready for the week ahead.

I have made  my second Mother's Day Card this one will be for my Mother-in-law she loves poppies. Which means the rose card I made will be for my mum.

The background was made the the Penny Black Poppy Poem stamp it was stamped several times with black archival and then the colour was added with Distress ink.

I used a stamp from a magazine for the sentiment and the poppies were made with the Tranquil Poppy die designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

I think she will like this card she does love poppies so much.

I would like to enter challenge 7 at Create with TLC.

Fantasy Stampers - Poppy Appeal

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Happy Saturday. I hope that you have something nice planned for the weekend. Once we have cleaned out the bunnies we are dashing off to see our daughter. Her fiance is working and we are going to help with some jobs around their house like taking stuff to the tip. On Sunday we are having lunch with our friend who lost his wife recently.

The new challenge starts today on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the theme is Poppy Appeal. I do love poppies on cards.

I have a bit of a confession. I did make a card with all the elements you can see in the tag but I didn't like it. So I made the tag and I was much happier with the result.

The wooden mounted  stamp is Poppy Poem by Penny Black. I stamped it with black archival onto water colour card and I coloured it with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

It was a shame about the card I will probably still use it and the present that goes with it can have a matching tag.

If you pop back tomorrow the winners will be announced on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

Bunny Thank You Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope that you are having had a wonderful weekend. I have had a good half term. We have been away, sorted out my dad's computer and collected the bunnies (who are back with us for another three weeks). Everything is nearly set for them to go to our daughter's new house. So when she visits next they will be able to go home with her. That will be in November when she comes to buy her wedding dress - exciting.

When we collected the bunnies from boarding I gave the lady a thank you card I had made for her. She really does do a good job of looking after them and she seems to enjoy having them. It is no surprise which image I used. I didn't have much time so this is quite a simple card.

The backing paper was a scrap left in my stash this paper has been so useful and now it is all gone.

This is the Penny Black stamp Bunny Friends it was stamped with black archival onto water colour card and then coloured with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

This sentiment was cut with some Britannia dies.

Here are the rabbits in question. They are very cute together they often snuggle up close.

The lady was very pleased with this card she sent me a message to say so. I thought she might like the bunny image.

Our Daughter and her Fiance's New Home

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been? This is a happier post from me today. Our daughter and her fiance have just moved into the house they have bought together. It is a lovely little house it is brand new. We visited yesterday it is so nice to see them in their own house they have worked hard to get it. There is still lots to sort out but they will get there.

As you might know we have been looking after our daughter's rabbits while they were waiting to move and they will be here for a bit longer. So when I saw this stamp I knew it was right for a new home card for them.

The brick background was created by inking some textured paper from my stash. The ribbon was also from my stash.

The image was created with a Penny Black stamp called Bunny Friends. I stamped onto watercolour with black archival then I coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I created a frame for the image with the Double Pierced Rectangles from Sue Wilson.

The sentiment was cut with some Britannia dies and I used Tattered Lace dies to create the backing.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Poppy meets Sparkle pens

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your weekend been so far. As predicted we have mostly been making thing for our niece's wedding which is next week on Easter Saturday. It all took a lot longer than I thought and we still have one quite long job to finish tomorrow. I will photograph everything and blog it after the wedding. Everything is very nicely themed.

I made this card for my Mother-in-law's birthday she loves poppies. To be honest I wanted another chance to play with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens and I thought this Penny Black stamp would be a good choice.

I made the the frame with some Sue Wilson noble dies.

The image was stamped in black archival ink and coloured with my sparkle pens. I did use a brush and some water to move the colour around.

I use the dining room table for everything this is what it looked like when I was writing my Easter cards. All the cards that I can give by hand get a small chocolate bunny.

I am sure my Mother-in-law will love this card. I think poppies are her favourite flower.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care.
