Roaring 20's Birthday Card for a Dear Friend

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Well I can't really believe that this is the last day of September. The Summer is over and Autumn is in full swing. What a strange year we are having.

Here is the birthday card I made for my dear friend. Her birthday was at the weekend. We met at work and we have stayed friends ever since. We have been meeting up regularly for walks and a natter. She loves anything Art Deco so I save any images like that for her.

The patterned papers were in my stash. The feathers were made with a die from Crafter's Companion.

This image came from an old card. I knew she would like it.

Some times inside on the back of the card there is an additional images. I chose to make this one into a bookmark to go with the card.

I know she liked this card and that she had a lovely birthday. We are meeting up for a walk next week.

Beccy's Place - Country Floral Digital image set

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? On Saturday we had a trip to our local garden centre. We had a coffee there and we picked up some supplies. As the weather was nice we spent the afternoon cleaning and oiling a garden table we had been given.  On Sunday we had a trip to see our daughter and son-in-law we took them some supplies for packing. We are all hoping they are going to move soon.

I am one of the Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. Which means that I get some truly gorgeous images to work with. The one I am show casing now is the Encore Set Country Floral. The images are just so pretty. I am featured on Beccy's Blog today click HERE to see my makes there

The papers were in my stash.

This is the Country Floral Digital Stamp set and it is available HERE. There are pre-coloured images and line art in the set.

I used the oval with the flowers. I coloured the flowers with my Prismacolor pencils. Once the image was coloured I fussy cut it.

This sentiment added nicely inside the oval.

I coloured the ladybird and then I cut is out. I added the antennae with a Micron pen my cutting out isn't that good.

I made a cute little tag too. The ladybirds look good in different colours.

I really did enjoy using this set. I think I will turn to this set often.

Super Cute Christmas card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? We have had a relatively quiet week that has been nice. I heard the other day that there won't be any invigilating in November. To be honest I am quiet relieved I had no idea how they would make it safe for us and the students. My hubby, daughter and son-in-law are all still working from home. There is no news on a Moving Date for our daughter and son-in-law. I do hope they hear something soon. I want my spare room back.

Every month I like to join in with the Rudolph Days Challenge it runs from the 25th until the end of the month. I have done this for a few years now. I do like to make Christmas cards all year round.

The patterned papers I used were in my stash.

This is an image from Di's Digi stamps it was free in the Kit and Clowder colouring ground a few weeks ago. The cute image was coloured with my Polychromo pencils. The image and the mats were cut with my Double Pierced Rectangles from Creative Expressions.

That is another Christmas card for my stash. I now have about 90 Christmas cards. This year I am not sure how many I will need.

A Little Note

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? This a a quiet week for us. Later I will be colouring along with Barbara Gray. She has cut her sessions down to three times a week. I must admit this helps a lot as I was getting behind with things I should be doing. I really appreciate those sessions though and I can't believe what I have learnt.

Way back at the beginning of lockdown I joined the Clarity Stamp die of the month subscription. I have been very pleased with the dies I have received. I made this card with the last month's die.

In the background I have used one of the Clarity Designer papers. I am not good with the names I have a few pads of the papers and I usually hunt through until I find a colour combination that is right for my project.

This is what the die looks like when is it cut. I did make a drop shadow for each die cut. The seed heads round about were snipped from the frame. I do like playing around with dies to get different effect.

This was cut from a sentiment die from one of the other months.

I was rather pleased with this design I do love that die it is gorgeous.

Anniversary Card for our very good Friends

Hello My Craft Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? On Saturday we had friends round for tea and cake in the garden. On Sunday we went to see our daughter and son-in-law's new house. It is a new build so it meant going to a building site. The house is very nearly complete so hopefully they will get a moving date soon. We are going to help them on moving day but we don't know when that is yet.

In July our good friends have their birthdays and anniversary very close together. This is the anniversary card I made for them.

I used some of my Claritystamp Designer papers.

This Clarity Fresh Cut die is called Panoramic Vista it is an aperture die.

This is a Signature die.

I had bits left over after making this card. So I made a smaller version without a sentiment. It was one of the first ones to sell in the sale a few weeks ago.

Forest Scene Christmas Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? The weather has been lovely. We have spent a lot of time in the garden again. It is good to make the most of it while the weather is so nice.

I treated myself to three die set from the  new Christmas release from the John Next Door range. They are: Jane's Tree, Sam's Circles and Christmas Time. I used dies from all three of the sets to make this card.

I used the background die from the Sam's Circles die set. It does cut very nicely.

The scene come with the Sam's Circles die set. The holly wreath was made with dies from the Christmas Time die set.

The sentiment came from the Jane's Tree die set.

We had some good news on Wednesday. Rosie our cow, who lives in France with Katie and Sven, had a calf. Both are doing well. We do like having a cow thought we have never met her. If we can travel next year we might go and stay on the farm.

I am so pleased I treated myself. All the die sets I bought work so well together. I am looking forward to having another play with them I can see lots of possibilities.

Congratulations on your Wedding Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunny weather we are having. We have been making iced lattes they are very nice. The coffee machine was a good investment.

Last week we went to the wedding of one of our good friends. Sadly his first wife died four years ago. We had all known each other for years. Even with all the restrictions the wedding was lovely. We had refreshments in the grounds of the church after the weather was perfect. We are so pleased that they have found each other.

I used the Heart Lattice embossing folder in the background. I also added a selection of dies.

This is an image drawn by our daughter. It was so lovely to be able to make such a personalised card.

Here is one of the pictures from the wedding. They look so happy together.

As I had the images I was able to make a matching tag for their small gift.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

A bit More Time to Craft Challenge blog - Challenge 124 - Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? My hubby has a couple of days off. Today we have the excitement of getting our eyes tested. I noticed a significant difference with my eyes so the time is right.

Today Challenge 174 starts at the A Bit More Time to Craft Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes and there are fantastic digi papers on offer as prizes.

I used the Gingham papers for my creation.

Our challenges are lots of fun. Click on the logo and you will be taken to the challenge blog

Some time ago I treated myself to a magazine that had a Flower Fairy paper collection.
The tags were left over from the kit so I decided to put them together to make a card.

This is a Crafter's Companion die.

My mother-in-law loves the flower fairies. I might just save this until next year for her. By then I might well have made her something else she is a very special lady.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Cute Cat in a Flower Pot

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I had a busy day yesterday. I was out with a friend in the morning and in the evening we had a meal out with friends. I must admit to being rather nervous about the way things are going with the virus. Again it is a case of waiting and seeing.

I made this cute card for a friend who really, really likes cats. In fact she has three rescue cats.

I used some scraps of patterned paper to make the patchwork background with some hexagon dies from Crafter's Companion.

I found the image and the sentiment in my stash. As soon as I saw the cute cat I knew it would be ideal. I cut mats for the image and the sentiment with the Double Pierced Circle dies by Creative Expressions.

I enjoyed making this card. I know my friend liked it a lot and so did her cats.

Snowdrops and Designer Papers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? Our daughter and son-in-law came to lunch on Saturday. This gave them the chance to visit their bunnies. They still don't have a moving date. I do hope it is soon. On Sunday we went with friends to have tea and cake in the garden of another friend. She is raising money for a charity and has opened her garden for bookings. We did have a lovely time and the cake was so nice.

Well I have discovered the joy of Clarity Fresh Cut dies and Designer papers. I am not very good with the names. I usually go through the pads until I find a colour that I want to work with. I hang on to all the scraps as leaves cut out of them look very autumnal.

This is the Art Nouveau Snowdrop Aperture Clarity Fresh Cut die. I cut it three times so I could paper piece the pieces. All the papers I used are designer papers.

I was pleased with the result. I do like this die a lot. I will be on the look out for some more.

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? Lots of the schools have gone back now. It must all be very strange for the children  and their teachers. I have been quite tired after the sale at the weekend. I didn't do too badly I sold quite a few cards. I have got more idea about what sells now. So if I get to do it again that knowledge will help.

The new challenge starts at the Winter Wonderland Challenge blog and I am hosting this one. I have chosen the theme of Snowmen and Snow. Our sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I was able to choose some adorable images.

I decided to make a DL card. The patterned paper was in my stash.

There are many wonderful images in the store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This cute little image is called Three Snowmen and it is available HERE.
