We have arrived in the middle of the week so we are getting closer to the weekend. I can't believe that it will be October tomorrow. Doesn't the time dash by?
This card was the result of me playing with some stamps and it not working out quite how I thought it would.
I actually started out with a completely different idea when I started this card. I took two 6" x 6" kraft card blanks, I cut one in half to make the topper and the other I scored one side on the diagonal to create the twisted easel. I cut two black mats and two white stamping card mats. On the white mats I stamped a few of the the snowflake stamps that I have with Perfect Medium and then heat embossing them with a clear sparkly powder. Then I used three shades of distress ink to ink over the page. This is as far as my plan went and I left it for a day. The dies I wanted to use with it originally didn't work with the background I had created but it was too pretty not to use. If I am struggling with a project I will put it to one side and come back to it the next day with fresh eyes.
So I came back to the card the next day and I decided that I would use my Sue Wilson dies again but this time the whole deer family not just mum and baby. I cut three of the Winter trees in white and embossed them I did add some glitter as well. Then I cut all of the deer I embossed them and I added some black card to the back to hide the filigree detail. I am enjoying silhouettes a lot this year.
The Merry Christmas was cut with A Signature die by Joanna Sheen. Once it was cut I covered it with Perfect Medium and I heat embossed it with the clear sparkly powder. I haven't done this to a die before but I think I will be doing it again. The stopper was made with the tag from the Sue Wilson die set Snowflake border, corner, tag.
I was pleased with the way this card turned out. I think it looks very icy. I don't often make easel cards since I found my uncle displaying one on its side. I will have to make sure that this one goes to a crafter so that they know what to do with it.
I hope that you enjoy the rest of the week.
Happy Crafting

I love it. Those deer, the trees, the stamping - just beautiful I love your comment about your uncle displaying the card on its side. I had a relative do the same. I now put instructions on the back - Debbie Moore has a sheet of labels explaining what to do
