Tattered Lace - Sledging Mouse

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Happy Wednesday. I am  having a busy week I was on a school trip on Monday and I am on another trip today. I hope the weather is okay the forecast is for heavy rain and we will be outside at a farm.

I was sent three sets of Christmas dies by Tattered Lace recently and the last set should be on Create and Craft today as part of the Tattered Lace Christmas Crafting Shows. The main part of the show is about snowglobe dies I was sent a Sledging Mouse die and two sentiment dies.

Here are all the cards I sent in together.

As a bonus I was sent the Oval Shutter card set I couldn't wait to use it. It comes with all the dies for the mats and layers and there are some embellishment dies as well. That is where the stars with the mice came from. In the centre there is the Miracle of Christmas die.

I made a wreath of plaited ribbon to surround the Miracle of Christmas die.

This card shows the mouse and his sledge together. The trees came from a Tattered Lace magazine about a year ago. The mouse was cut out in white card and coloured with Promarkers.

This die is meant to be on the inside of a card. I managed to make a stepper card. The mouse on this one was paper pierced.

This tag was made with leftovers.

I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Wedding card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? On Saturday I had a lovely time at the Craft workshop I came away with 6 cards (made by me) two stamp sets, some twine and some pearls. We had a very nice lunch and lots of cake and they made a good amount of money for the charity. On Sunday I started sorting my craft stash into my new storage only to find I don't really have enough for all my bits and pieces.

Back to the card I was asked to make an A4 Wedding card to be signed by lots of Brownies as one of their leaders is getting married soon.

I found the LOTV image in my stash and I used this as the basis for the design. I used the Creative Expressions Bed of Roses A4 Embossing folder to create the background. I had the pale pink mirror card in my stash it was just right for this project.

This is a Tattered Lace die that came with one of their magazines when I saw it I thought it would be useful.

Before I embossed the central section I cut an aperture I used some circle dies to create a frame. The flowers were made with a punch that embosses.

This was cut with another Tattered Lace die.

This is the card standing up. It is being collected later today I hope the lady who asked for it is pleased.

Fantasy Stampers - Teddy Bears' Picnic Midway Motivation

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here. Do you have plans? I am off to a crafty workshop with my friend. It is a charity event raising money for a good cause.

We are now half way through the latest challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the current theme is Teddy Bears' Picnic. I offered to make this challenges midway motivation card this time. So I had to hunt through my stash for a stamp with bear on it.

Once I had decided on the stamp I cut all the mats and layers. I used a Tattered Lace die to cut the bunting. The layers around the image and the die behind the sentiment were created with Spellbinders dies.

I  was delighted when found this little Forever Friends stamps in my stash I think it came free with a magazine some time ago. He was stamped in black archival onto water colour card and coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I do like using them.

This is a LOTV sentiment stamp that also came free with another magazine some time ago.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Alphabet Challenge - I for Ink It Up!

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is nearly here. I am off to a crafty workshop with my friend tomorrow, I am really looking forward to it.

It is time for the new challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog the letter is I for Ink it Up. Here is my card I was rather pleased with this one.

To create the background I used a technique that John Lockwood demoed with Pixie Powders. I used my Brushos which I think behave the same but they are not sparkly. I sprinkled three shades of the Brushos  powders onto my craft mat, you don't need much, then I sprayed the powders with water. I used a lot of water as I wanted the colours to be a bit more subtle. In my hand I held background stamp Spring Trail by Creative Expressions and I stamped with the Brusho all over some water colour card. I left it to dry before I moved on to the next bit.

Last time I went into town I treated myself to a new stamp by Woodware it is called Going to Seed. It was stamped with black archival and heat embossed with a clear powder. I think it shows up really well against the background.

The sentiment came in the the same stamp set.

That is all from me today. I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Thank you for all your visits and comments I do appreciate them all.

Happy Crafting.

Bee-lated Birthday

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I have been very busy the end of term is always busy. I have some leaving cards to make.

I was asked by Sophy Haes, who runs  The Isobel Craft Collection - The Cardsmaker's One Stop Shop www.facebook.com/theisobelcraftcollection,  to use some of her stamps to make a card and mention her Facebook page on my blog. I agreed and I choose the Bee Set of Stamps. They are so cute.

This is the card I made. I stamped the stamps onto watercolour card with Black Archival ink and when this was dry I coloured them with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

This is the stamp set you get lots of stamps they can be bought from the Etsy shop

For the background I used the honeycomb stamp. All the other stamps where cut with some Crafter's Companion nest hexagon dies. They came with the latest edition of Crafter's Inspiration. They were ideal for this project.

The stamps were in various sizes and suited different dies from the set.

The finished card measures 7.5" x 5". The ribbon was in my stash. Why not visit Sophy's page www.facebook.com/theisobelcraftcollection. This page also holds monthly sales where you can buy craft goodies from brands such as Phill Martin, Sue Wilson, Sizzix, Spellbinders, Creative Expressions, Tonic Studios and many more! Here is a link to her next sale https://www.facebook.com/events/1726696614265379. Why not grab a crafty bargain.

Tattered Lace - Christmas Cuties

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? We got lots done. The Save the Date cards are sorted I now just have to find time to make them. On Sunday we saw both of our sets of parents so lots of driving for my husband.

I have recently made three sets of Christmas samples for Tattered Lace. I am sharing the second set that is released today on Create and Craft,  the Christmas Cuties range from Tattered Lace.  I was sent the Santa and Rudolf set and some red and green sheets of Midas Touch Transfer Foil.

I made three samples for each die. I had to find out how to use the Midas Touch Foil, Google is a wonderful thing. I was most successful with it when I used the foil with double sided tape to enhance some patterned papers.

I paper pierced Rudolf and used the Midas foil around the edge of the card.

I paper pierced Santa too. I used both the red and the green foil on this card.

I have never made a rocker card before. I think the foil really worked with this paper.

Then I used my circle dies to make an easel card for Santa. This design looks a bit like a target.

I do like making these sweet bags I think they make good presents that don't cost too much. This one is filled with Haribos.

These are just chocolate raisins.

The Rudolf samples together.

The Santa samples together.

Here are two of the samples on Create and Craft USA the dies were released there at the weekend.

One last look at the Cuties.  Just to warn you that there is one more set of Christmas samples I have sent in.

Have a wonderful week.

Fantasy Stampers - Teddy Bears' Picnic

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

We have made it to the weekend. There are a few things that have made last week tricky for me. But today our daughter is staying with us and we can start work on the Save the Date cards as well as have a bit of fun together.

The new challenge starts on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog and the theme is Teddy Bear's Picnic which means using a bear on your project.

I used my Double Pierced Squares dies to make all the mats and layers. The patterned paper and the buttons were in my stash.

The cute little bear stamp was given to me by a friend in a bundle of crafty goodies. He is a Hobbycraft stamp and he is called Bear. I stamped him with black ink and I coloured him with Promarkers. I added some distress ink top and bottom to give some shading.

I can't remember where this stamp came from I think it was in a set.

He does look rather glum that is why I made him into a Get Well card.

If you check back on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog tomorrow the winners of the last challenge will be announced.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Tattered Lace - Christmas Dies for Christmas in June

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? The weather has been a bit up and down. I got drenched walking home on Monday. We are just having another downpour now.

I have been making some more samples for Tattered Lace I am still on the television sample Design Team. I was sent some Christmas dies,  the Ornamental Season's Greetings die and the Melded Bauble Garland die set.

Here are the samples altogether.

I like the clean simplicity of this card.

A rather inky card I used my Brushos to create the background and then just the Season's Greeting die for the centre.

I used the edger die that come in the Bauble set to create the aperture.

A very simple card on the outside. My husband liked this design and wants me to make some of these for his work colleagues.

This is the inside of the card and yes it pops out.

A cute robin with a Holly border.

This tag is the only one of the samples where I didn't use the Season's Greetings die/

As  I had made nothing dimensional these samples packed flat in a padded envelope. This made quite a change for me. Just to warn you I have sent in another set of Christmas samples and I am working on a third.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Altenew Roses Thank You

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? I hope you had a great time. I spent most of Saturday making Christmas samples for Tattered Lace. Then on Sunday we went to the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show in Portsmouth. It was so nice to be out and about.

When I got my free Altnew Stomps with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine a couple of months ago I made two cards. I didn't get round to sharing the second one until now.

I have had the Spellbinders Lattice die in my stash for ages and I haven't really used it until now. I cut an aperture in the backing paper with an oval die and I made a frame for it with some of Sue Wilson's dies. I popped the lattice behind the aperture.

The roses and leaves came with their own die to cut them out.

The flag was another Sue Wilson die and the Thank you stamp came from the same set in the magazine.

This is my stash from the Portsmouth Papercraft show. Some of it was given to me by my crafty friend. Spot the lace I am going to have a go at making flowers for our daughter' s wedding. Watch this space.

After the papercraft show we went for a walk by the water we saw a Little Egret (above) and an Oyster Catcher (below).

I enjoyed using these stamps I must get them out again soon.

Have a great week.

Take care.
