Roaring 20's Birthday Card for a Dear Friend

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Well I can't really believe that this is the last day of September. The Summer is over and Autumn is in full swing. What a strange year we are having.

Here is the birthday card I made for my dear friend. Her birthday was at the weekend. We met at work and we have stayed friends ever since. We have been meeting up regularly for walks and a natter. She loves anything Art Deco so I save any images like that for her.

The patterned papers were in my stash. The feathers were made with a die from Crafter's Companion.

This image came from an old card. I knew she would like it.

Some times inside on the back of the card there is an additional images. I chose to make this one into a bookmark to go with the card.

I know she liked this card and that she had a lovely birthday. We are meeting up for a walk next week.

Happy Crafting

Butterfly Birthday Card and matching Bookmark

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I am trying out new blogger I am not sure that I like it much. How are you getting on? The weather has been lovely. Our garden is proving to be a delight. Last year we treated ourselves to a table and chairs set for the garden. This year we have been able to have a lot of meals outside.

My friend's birthday was a week ago. The present I ordered came yesterday and we delivered it on our walk this morning.

Here is the card I made for her. The background is some inky kitchen roll stuck to card.

This is the Butterflies in Flight Mini Striplet die from Creative Expressions. I cut the separate butterflies and put them behind the panel to make the butterflies stand out. I cut three of them to fill the card.

I added the sentiment to the card.

As I didn't have the present I decided to make a matching book mark. The die set seems to lend itself to making bookmarks. I was lucky that there were enough leftovers to make it.  My friend loved her card and bookmark and was very understanding about the delay with her present.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

I hope that you have a good weekend.

Take care and stay safe.

Fantasy Stampers - Your Favourite Colour

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Here we are,  we are have arrived at the weekend. I am very excited I am booked in to a workshop  at our local Craft Shop come Pick Your Own Farm. The workshop is being led by none other than Johnathan Lockwood from Creative Expressions. I will try to get some photos to post here.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the theme is your Favourite Colour and you must do some stamping. My favourite colour is mauve or purple in all its forms.

I made a  6" x 6" card  and a matching bookmark.

The main image was from a stamp in my stash. I stamped the lavender with black archival and heat it embossed with a clear powder. Then I coloured it with my new Spectrum Noir pencils and I cut it out with my Brother CutnScan. I must admit it is taking me a while to get to grip with this. I am not giving up though. The lattice background was left over from another card.

I really do like purple in fact that is the colour of our bedroom. I do like lots of other colours as well it really depends how I feel at the time.

Have a great weekend. I will be back tomorrow with another post.

Happy Crafting.
