How is your week going? I hope you aren't being too badly affected by the cold. I am getting used to being home on my own now my husband has gone back to work. So in my afternoons off I have been able to catch up on some of my crafting.
I was asked by a friend to make a card for her friend who is going to have a special birthday soon. I did find it a bit hard to get started.
This is the design I came up with. The first thing I decided to do was to make a frame with my Sue Wilson Pierced Square dies. I used three of the dies and embossed them first then I removed the middle die and did the cutting. I think it makes a rather nice larger frame and all pierced. I am hoping to treat myself to Set B so that my layers can be thinner. I found the pretty backing paper in my stash.
I added a Sue Wilson butterfly in the corner.
The flowers were made with a Spellbinder die set. The leaves are Faux Quilled Leaves by Sue Wilson.
The Happy Birthday was cut with a Memory box die. Once cut I sprayed it with a spray glue and then covered it with glitter.
I gave this to my friend yesterday and she was very pleased with it and she has plenty of time to send it to her friend. It is an 8" x 8" card so it will go on a large letter stamp.
I would like to enter TTCRD Challenge January 19-25, 2016 and Pixie's Snippets Playground - Week 212.
I hope the rest of the week is kind to you.
Happy Crafting
Hugs Jackie
