A Sympathy Card for a Sad Occassion

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Here we are near the end of the week. I wonder what your crafty plans are for the next few days. My new storage is being delivered tomorrow. I have taken some before pictures and I will share them when I have some after pictures.

Today's card has to be one that I didn't really want to make. It for the girl who comes to give me a Sport's massage very few weeks unfortunately her father died.

This is quite a simple card  I didn't want it  to be over complicated. I  used the Sue Wilson die to cut the frame for the topper I was going to create. The paper I used was from my Teresa Collins pad and I inked it to match the colour scheme of the card.

To create the topper I inked a square of stamping card with three shades of Distress ink and then I spritzed it with water and left it to dry. The used the verse from the With Sympathy set by Visible Image to stamp in the middle of the topper then it was heat embossed with CS Clear Detail Embossing powder. The detail is stamped with the flower head form the same set. I was going to heat emboss this too but I liked how they looked just stamped with Distress so I left it.

There it is a very sad card to send I hope she can take some small comfort from this.

I am sharing something a bit different. This is my daughter at an Anime convention wearing a costume she made herself. I am very proud of what she has achieved here she didn't have much sewing experience before tackling this project.

The storage to be delivered tomorrow I can't wait. I wonder how long it will be before it is constructed. I hope not too long.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting

Hugs Jackie
