Pretty Little card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you are having a good week. We have been busy again this week. Our parents aren't doing well which means there is a lot to do for them. I am finding it so hard to find time to craft at the moment. I am doing lots of colouring every so often I make the images into cards. Here is one of them.

I have been doing a bit of sorting out and I have found lots of images that needed colouring.

The stamp is from Stampin Up and I think it is called Peony Blossom. The image was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils. The die I used is from Crafter's Companion.

Here is another card for my stash. I usually make my cards flat for posting.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Take care

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog - Challenge #65 Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope that you have had a great weekend. As usual we have been busy. We did manage to fit in a trip to a local club to see Beatlemania with some friends. Anyone would think that we are Beatle mad - and they would be right 😊. Today this post is scheduled as we will be in Coventry for the funeral of my aunt.

Being the first of the month the new challenge starts on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes. Our wonderful sponsor this month  is Polkadoodles.

I did start by colouring the image with my Promarkers. As the image was in the PNG format I was able to make a background on my computer and place the image on top. I chose the colours for the mats and layers to match my colouring.

There is so much to see in their wonderful store. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

I wanted some pretty flowers to surround the image and I remembered my Peony Blossom from Tattered Lace. So I cut it a few times and paper pieced it.

Have a great week. I will be back soon to pop around everyone's blogs.

Happy Crafting

My Card in the January Isuue of Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a good week. I have had a few ups and downs but the really good news is that my husband was able to go back to work today. We saw the doctor at the hospital yesterday and he was really pleased with my husband's progress. He just needs to build up strength in his hand now. All the healing won't be done for about a year. It was strange coming home today and him not being here but it is for the best.

On our way back from the hospital I bought a copy of Issue 148 January of Quick Cards Made Easy Magazine. I was very lucky to have had a card published in this issue.

This card has been on my blog before. It was one of the samples I made for some Tattered Lace shows on Create and Craft.

This is the magazine cover.

This shows the double page spread.

Enjoy the rest of the week. Take care.

Confirmation Card for a Girl

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? Some shocking things have unfolded in France.

I am sharing the second card I made for the Confirmation Service last Sunday. This one was for a girl.

I used the Peony Blossom Charisma die and matching CD images as the focus for this card. I love this combination of colours. I chose the colour of the layers to match the colours of the flowers. The top pale blue layer was embossed with the Sue Wilson Rows of Bows Pinpoint embossing folder.

I cut a white oval for the centre of the card and embossed it with a small dotty embossing folder. The cross was cut with a Spellbinders die. I cut four of the images and arrange them around the oval.

I cut the letters with some Tonic alphabet dies. I added Candi to the corners of the card.

This was the same size as the card for the boy and the names were placed in the same place. The Vicar was pleased when I dropped the cards off on Friday. I wasn't at the service to see the Confirmation which was a shame I had rather a lot to do.

I do hope that you have a good week.

Happy crafting.

Tattered Lace - Peony Bloom Charisma

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been so far? I have been busy again making samples for Tattered Lace shows on Create and Craft.

The Peony Bloom Charisma die was fun to work with. There is  a CD that has artwork on it that can be cut with the die and some lovely backing papers too. It does look pretty cut on its own without the special papers as well.

These are the samples that I sent in altogether in one place.

This is a 7" x 7" card the backing paper and the flowers were from the CD. I had seen Nancy Watt using a similar product so I knew what to  do. The art work is slightly bigger than the die so there is a kind of halo round it when you line it up. I was a bit worried but it worked a treat in fact it was surprisingly simple.

I had a go at making a pillow gift box I found a template on the internet. You could write someone's name in the centre the white does show off the flowers nicely.

I made an easel card. There are some lovely colour combinations on the CD and all the backing papers I used came from there.

Lastly I made a tag I wanted to see what the die looked like on its own and I wasn't disappointed it is very pretty.

The shows are on today starting a 8am on Create and Craft Rossella will be demonstrating. I am hoping to watch some of the shows when I get back from work.

Have a great day

Happy Crafting
