Pretty Daffodil Easter Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How are you doing? I hope everything is well with you. Life is going on much the same for us as it has for the last few weeks. I am so grateful that we have a garden to enjoy, that my hubby has work and that I have a hobby. We are eating well. I have done so much cooking and I am really rather enjoying it. Also I am appreciating the technolgy that keeps us in touch with our loved ones. There are so many people out there doing so much to help us all.

I have been finding it difficult to craft. When I wrote my Easter cards I found that I was two short. So yesterday I settled down and made two Easter cards with the same design. It did help having something to focus on.

I used papers that were left over from our Daughter and Son-in-law's wedding which was three years ago in July. I did over buy everything I needed it would have been so bad to run out of anything

All the dies I used are from Creative Expressions. It was so nice to use the daffodil dies again. The oval dies come from the middle of another die set. I have found them to be so useful. I hunted through the Creative Expressions box of dies until I found a bow die.

I think this is the only die that I have that makes an Easter Greeting.

I made two cards with the same design. All the cards that are left can be hand delivered. The plan is to work their delivery into our daily walks.

I can't believe that it is Easter at the weekend.

Kinetic Easter Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good weekend. We were busy as usual. We have started looking for another car but this will take a long time it always does with us. The Bootleg Beatles concerts was amazing and we had a good time with our friends. On Sunday we visited our parents. The photo books of our daughter's wedding I ordered looked amazing and were very well received.

I think this is my last Easter make to share. I made a Kinetic card with the dies that came from Papercraft Essentials magazine. I made this to sent to my cousin who just loves Hedgehogs.

I used a cloud embossing folder for background.

The spinner element was a cute hedgehog. The stamp came free with the magazine along with the slider dies.

The daffodils were cut with some dies from Creative Expressions.

Another Creative Expressions die I have used it a lot this year.

I know my cousin liked this card she sent me a lovely message.

Have a great week.

Easter Cards with Daffodils

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I have been catching up on jobs in the house and also on my Design Team makes. The wedding invitations are progressing but we can't do much until next weekend when will get the go ahead on the format of the names.

I have been making more Easter cards and I need to make a few more. It is nothing like the amount I make for Christmas.

I made a bit of a mistake I saw a sketch for a challenge and I liked it. So I made these cards according to the sketch. When I went back the challenge had closed. I wasn't too unhappy I liked the design anyway and I got to use up some of the paper left over from our daughter's wedding. The ribbon was in my stash.

I know the oval dies are from Creative Expression but I can't remember which set I took them from.  I used the Spring Daffodil set to make the flowers. The bow is from Crafter's Companion.

Here are all the cards together.  I have changed the way I am taking pictures and it is a lot easier. I saw on someone's blog how they did it and I realised I could make my own set up like it. The lighting is more even too so I don't have to do so much editing with the photos on the computer.

I would like to enter challenge 366 at the My Time to Craft Challenge blog, challenge 146 at the Inspiration Destination Challenge blog ,challenge 362 at the Crafty Creations Challenge blog , challenge 276 at the Brown Sugar Challenge blog ,the Cuttlebug Mania Spring Challenge , the Challenge starting week of 13th March at TTCRD , challenge 85 at Scrapy Land Challenges and challenge 135 at the Let's Craft and Create Challenge blog.

Daffodils for a Happy Easter

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How was you weekend? I hope you did something nice and that the weather didn't interfere with your plans too much. We had a lovely time at the party to celebrate the 70th Wedding Anniversary of my parents in-law. It is a fantastic achievement and it was lovely for them to be surrounded by their family and friends. The actual anniversary is on Wednesday and I will share the card I made for them then.

I have made a start on my Easter cards. Usually I start them a bit sooner than this. I think because the weather has been so dull I just haven't thought about it.

When I make card with apertures I am  left with all the inners of the circles (in this case). Well being me they all match and they are too good to not put on a card. I have also found that I can use the Double Pierced Square dies to make mats that completely cover my card blank.

So in the middle of the circle I added a mat of the backing paper I had chosen. To this I added die cuts of the Spring Daffodils by Creative Expressions. The bow is one from Crafter's Companion.

The sentiment came from a different die set from Creative Expressions.

This is definitely a one off I won't be making another card like this one. I do like using up the left over bits from other cards.  I now have the artwork for the wedding invitations I am making for a nephew and his fiancee so I can begin work on those soon.

Have a great week.

Cheerful Daffodils for Mother's Day

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I am a bit late posting today as I had an Open Reach engineer here most of the morning trying to sort out the problems with our internet. Hopefully it is working properly now only time will tell.

You know I like to get ahead with my cards. So today I made a Mother's Day card. They are fine to share as neither of our Mothers do Social Media of any kind.

The backing papers I had in my stash.

This is a signature die.

I cut the Spring Daffodil dies from Creative Expressions and I decided to put them in pots which I cut with Spellbinder dies.

For the corners I used the Cottage Garden die that came with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine last year.

I had a lovely piece of news my blog (yes this one) was featured in the Sally's Ones to Watch section of the February issue on Making Cards Magazine.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the week. Being the start of the month I will be back with two blog posts tomorrow. It does get busy in Blogland at the beginning of the month.

Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Theme Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I am all back to normal. The house is all tidy the washing is sorted and I am back crafting. I have had some good news that I will be able to share with you soon.

The new challenge starts on the Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) Challenge blog and the theme this time is Flowers. Now there aren't many people who don't like flowers.

This is quite a small card I made it by recycling a card I had been sent that is where the background came from. The flowers were cut with a Britannia die set.

It needed a box so that the flowers wouldn't get squashed. I used my Hougie board to make the box. Before I constructed the box I cut the aperture using the Double Pierced die set I cut the inner layer too. The lattice was cut with Stitched Lattice frames set. All from Creative Expression. There is acetate behind the lattice.

I used Spring Daffodils die set designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

The Happy Birthday was cut with the die that came with the 2016 Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar.

Here they are together. I was very pleased with how the box turned out. I think I might be making some more like this.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting
