Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Theme Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I am all back to normal. The house is all tidy the washing is sorted and I am back crafting. I have had some good news that I will be able to share with you soon.

The new challenge starts on the Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) Challenge blog and the theme this time is Flowers. Now there aren't many people who don't like flowers.

This is quite a small card I made it by recycling a card I had been sent that is where the background came from. The flowers were cut with a Britannia die set.

It needed a box so that the flowers wouldn't get squashed. I used my Hougie board to make the box. Before I constructed the box I cut the aperture using the Double Pierced die set I cut the inner layer too. The lattice was cut with Stitched Lattice frames set. All from Creative Expression. There is acetate behind the lattice.

I used Spring Daffodils die set designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

The Happy Birthday was cut with the die that came with the 2016 Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar.

Here they are together. I was very pleased with how the box turned out. I think I might be making some more like this.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting

A Special Anniversary Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I have been very busy as it usual these days.  There is still so much to do for the wedding. This is my 500th blog post that is amazing and a lot of cards.

I was contacted by one of my cousins and I was asked if I would make a card for her to give her parents on their 65th Wedding Anniversary. I am not sharing the card I made for her yet but this is one I made to send them myself. They are my aunt and uncle after all.

I based the design on the Valentine's Day card I made for my husband. I had the background paper in my stash. On the Valentine's card I used glitter and I would have done the same on this card only I didn't have any blue glitter. I will have to do something about that.

I used the Heart of Hearts die set and the Love Heart die set both from Creative Expressions to make the main focus of the card.

I cut the sentiment with some Britannia dies.

I will be posting this card to them  in a couple of weeks. I sent the card to my cousin yesterday so she should get it soon, I hope she likes it.

Christmas Scene Mini Background

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How are you all? I hope you are all okay. I still have my cold and I have been feeling a bit fed up with the changes to blogger. So I have stepped away from blogging for a couple of days. Of course life gets in the way as well.

Yesterday I had a play with  a die-set I bought last year and had never used.

I really just used the Christmas Scene Mini Background to make this card.

Here is the detail of the santa in the center.

I didn't have room for a large sentiment so I used some Briannia dies.

I really should have used this die set before it cuts really well and I like the results. I have lot of other ideas.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Our Daughter and her Fiance's New Home

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has your week been? This is a happier post from me today. Our daughter and her fiance have just moved into the house they have bought together. It is a lovely little house it is brand new. We visited yesterday it is so nice to see them in their own house they have worked hard to get it. There is still lots to sort out but they will get there.

As you might know we have been looking after our daughter's rabbits while they were waiting to move and they will be here for a bit longer. So when I saw this stamp I knew it was right for a new home card for them.

The brick background was created by inking some textured paper from my stash. The ribbon was also from my stash.

The image was created with a Penny Black stamp called Bunny Friends. I stamped onto watercolour with black archival then I coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I created a frame for the image with the Double Pierced Rectangles from Sue Wilson.

The sentiment was cut with some Britannia dies and I used Tattered Lace dies to create the backing.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
