Build a Wreath for the John Next Door Christmas Box Kit Magazine

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Firstly a huge thank you for all the people that commented on my posts while we were away. I didn't realise just how much I needed a break. We did one of the British cruises that took us up to Scotland. On our last evening we saw 30 - 40 dolphins in different groups swimming towards the ship . It was certainly a sight to behold. Everything was still waiting for us when we got home. Not only are we dealing with my parent's care but my husband's parents now need care. As we have experience that is down to us to sort out.

As some of you know I am one of John Next Door's Angels and I was so lucky to be asked to write two articles for the magazine that comes with the Christmas box kit. Here are my makes for the Build a Wreath article.

Here is the first card. I used the gorgeous dies that came with the set and the embossing folder and the papers. The sentiment die is an old John Next Door die. I  added pearls and gems and a bow.

Here is a stamped wreath the kit has some lovely stamps. I cut our the orange slices and cinnamon sticks and added a bit of dimension. I think this card is on the front of the magazine.

Here is my Happy Hogmanay card. I think this is like saying Happy New Year. The tartan papers from the kit were perfect. I stamped some of the wreath and added die cut elements.

Here is an easel card using more of the papers and some of the dies. The sentiment was stamped and foiled with my Kaleido. The music papers and the stags are fantastic.

Using the same kit I made this birthday card. I stamped wreath and coloured the berries with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.

Here are all the makes together. I can't wait to see the magazine. There is just so much potential in this kit I can't wait to see what you make with it, if you get one.

Have a good weekend. We are going to visit our daughter and son-in-law they seem to have acquired a new rabbit who they might be calling Peter you know Peter Rabbit.

Happy Crafting

Love all the cards you have made with the wreath on it. Well done Jackie.
I know how it feels to have the care for your parents. I also have to go daily to my mum. She's getting old, nearly 90.
Take care.

Wow, what absolutely beautiful samples. I think I feel another magazine purchase coming on.

Your break sounds wonderful, especially as you went up to my most favourite place. I know you are dealing with a lot at the moment so it's good you took some time out. As the quote goes "You can't pour from an empty cup." Enjoy the visit to your daughter and son-in-law.

Creative Blessings Tracy x

Absolutely gorgeous set of cards. Each one a delight on its own. Really can't choose a favourite. Just had my food delivery for the week which looked as if a book of 1st class stamps was missing . The driver checked the troughs as did we and agreed to give a credit . We unloaded and whilst putting the items away found the missing book of stamps that had been pushed down inside the cardboard container of beer. Silly place to put it as we only found it by accident. The Doc was decanting the beer into another box and as he was doing so the stamps fell out onto the floor so now I have to let them know
I don't need the credit after all!! Hugs Mrs A.
