Autumn themed Decorated Tag

Hello My Crafty Blog Fiends and Visitors

How has your week been? This week I have seen quite a few friends for drinks in the garden. We also had a shock over one of the bills for my parents from the Care Company. We are in the process of sorting that out. This weekend our daughter and son-in-law are coming to visit their rabbits and to bring them supplies. It will be nice to see them. They will be able to tell us about where they have got to with their house move.

I was looking back through my files and I found pictures of a tag I made for a competition but I never got round to blogging it.

I have some large black tags that are rather fun to decorate. The background was made on my Geli Plate.

I used the John Next Door Additions dies: Acorns and Leaves and Autumn leaves. I used craft card and green card some gilding wax and some distress ink to add interest to the leaves.

This sentiment comes from the Additions dies from John Nest door. I also used the leafy flourish die set.

Isn't that ribbon fabulous. I did win a prize with this tag.

Have a great weekend.

Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) - Anything Goes with Autumn Colours - Challenge 109

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I have found it quite hard to settle down after our time in London. On Tuesday I did make it into Southampton to see the Pre-Raphaelite exhibition at the Art Gallery. It is an amazing exhibition and I want to go back. They have pulled together paintings from lots of different places. I met my hubby when he finished work.  We had a nice meal together and we saw the film Official Secrets at our local Showcase cinema. It was a good day.

Today the new challenge starts at the Moving Along with the Times (MAWTT) challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes with Autumn colours.

I have had the backing paper in my stash for a while. This seemed like a good time to use it.

Why not join in with our challenge. Click on the logo and you will be taken there.

I have a paper kit with Pollyanna Pickering images in it. I went through the kit and picked out this fabulous image of a thrush.

The dies I used to make the leaves and acorns came free with a magazine some time ago. So long ago that I can't remember which magazine. The dies are very useful.

There you have my card for the challenge. I hope you have a good weekend.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Fantasy Stampers - In the Fall

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I am so glad it is the weekend. I know I am only part time but I feel like I have been doing two jobs this week.  I am going to have to get something sorted out. I hope that you have had a better week than me. Today we are off visiting my husband's parents it is his dad's birthday in the week.

The new challenge starts today on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge blog the theme is In the Fall. That just has to mean leaves doesn't it? I was so thrilled when the Crafter's Inspiration magazine Issue 11 came with a set of leaf stamps with matching dies.

I created the background by stamping the leaves with Perfect Medium and then heat embossing them. After that I added some Distress Ink.

I cut an aperture in the background and I made a frame for it. I do like my apertures to have a frame. The leaves were again stamped with Perfect Medium and this time heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I used Distress Ink to add colour to the leaves. They were then cut out with the matching dies. The central stamp is one by Visible Image. The ribbon was in my stash with the bow in place.

I did enjoy making this card Autumn colours are so beautiful. Have a great weekend.

Tattered Lace Autumn Trios Collection

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a great weekend. We did get some of our Christmas shopping done.  We also went  to a brand new cinema in Whiteley it only opened on Thursday last week. It smelt new and the leg room is amazing the film was good too.

As you are probably already aware I sometimes make samples for Tattered Lace shows on Create and Craft TV. This weekend there was a mini weekender and I had sent in two lots of samples for these shows. The first set I am sharing today is from the Autumn Trios collection. Being Trios means that there are stamps, dies and a mini embossing folder that all match. In the big bundle there was also a CD rom that had images that match everything else.

Here are the samples I sent in altogether.

This is the sets before I opened them I didn't get the CD rom.

There are three sizes of leaf die the stamp and the embossing folder are in one size but it all works well together. I loved the Autumn Leaf set and I enjoyed making this CAS card the sentiment stamp is from Visible Image. The leaves were stamped on to white card and coloured with Distress ink. I do like that you can cut three leaves all at the same time.

I cut an aperture from some wood effect backing paper. I had to cut a frame for the aperture I don't like them plain. The Owls came from one set and I used the leaf embossing folder to make the background in the aperture. The leaves were all cut from kraft card and they were inked with Distress ink. This card was featured on Stephanie Weightman's Facebook page.

I used the leaf stamp to create the background for this tag. The leaves were left over from my CAS card.  I love making tags.

In each set of stamps there are some extra stamps I used those from the Lily Spray set to make the background for this card.

I did the same for this tag.

I used the Love Bird Berries to make this calendar. This time I didn't use the stamps.

It was fun watching for my makes on Create and Craft I spotted everything but the calendar.

Have a great week. I will be back soon with my other set of samples.

Fantasy Stampers - Autumn Leaves

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a great weekend the weather looks like it is going to be nice down this way today. This looks good for getting the grass cut. Also we will be continuing to sort out our spare rooms.

Today sees the start of a new challenge on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog and the theme is Autumn Leaves.

This is an 8" x 8" card I started by making all the layers. The stamp set I used is the Vintage Leaves set by Stampin Up I think they are still available. They were stamped with black Archival and then they were cut out with the direct cut feature of my ScanNcut. I did stamp two sheets of images and the ScanNcut did save me a lot of time. Once the leaves were cut our they were coloured with various shades of Distress Ink.

I cut a Sue Wilson tag once in white and once in green I trimmed the edge off the white one so there would be a green border. The Happy Birthday was cut with a Britannia die set.

Here is a close up on the leaves they are stunning I can see myself using these stamps many times.

I do hope that you have a great weekend and get everything done that you plan to.

If you check back on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog tomorrow the winner of the Colour Purple challenge will be announced.
