Regal Alphabet Dies New Job Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? My hubby is getting better. Really he hasn't been too bad at all. We have had a quiet week but that isn't a bad thing. Sometimes life is just so hectic.

Here is another of my makes with the Regal Alphabet dies. Those dies are very versatile.

I did like using the grid that came with the dies. You can make up all sorts of phrases. The bunting across the top of the card was made with the smallest of the Presscut Nested Banner dies. All the card I used was Linen card. Behind the grid I used some Clarity Stamp Designer paper.

Enjoy the last day of the month.

Pretty Cosmo Flowers with Alphabet Frame Background

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope that you had a good weekend. My hubby has a cold so we didn't end up going to our daughter and son-in-law's house on Sunday. It was a shame but it is better for them to be safe. We did get some bits done in the garden. On Saturday we visited Grey's Court National Trust. The weather was beautiful and the garden there is just amazing. If you are ever in the area I recommend a visit.

Here is another of the cards I made for the one day special last week on Create and Craft. This card used up lots of leftovers. I had lots of frames left from cutting tiles for the alphabet dies. Here I have overlaid one on the other to give a kind of tartan effect. I used pollen in the centre of the flowers. The heart and stars in the corners come with the Regal Alphabet set.

I was pleased with how this card turned out.

Have a wonderful week.

Double Flags and Cosmo Flowers and Leaves

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? The weather has been glorious. We have just accepted a quote to have our conservatory replaced. Work should start in about a month's time. When it is finished it is going to be so lovely. I will share pictures here when it is all finished.

Here is another of my makes for the One Day Special that was on Create and Craft on Sunday through to Monday. I did hear Hayley say this was a gorgeous card.
I used the Double Flags and the Cosmo Flower ad Leave dies. In the centre  I used the  Presscut Nested Hexagon dies. All the card I use was Linen card.

Enjoy the rest of the week. We are off to see the Bootleg Beatles tomorrow that should be fun.

Take care.

Pop-up Box Card with Cosmo Flowers and Leaves

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

What a lovely start to the week. The sun is shining and I have been out in the garden. There is a lot to tidy up after the winter.

The one day special of all the new dies and pollen is still on today. It was lovely to see one of my cards on the counter.

I do like making Pop-up Box cards in fact I do have a tutorial on this blog you can find it HERE.
The paper came from an older John Next Door Box Kit. I made up the flowers and I put a blob on gel glue in the middle and covered that with pollen. They had to be left to dry I usually wait until the next day to use them. I added numbers and a banner to the box. I made stalks for the flowers and attached the flowers. I popped leave in between. All the card I used was Linen Card.

Here is the card on the counter at Create and Craft.

Have a good week.

Release Day of the Regal Alphabet and the Cosmo Flowers and Leaves

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your weekend going? There has been some lovely weather and we are enjoying our garden. Our Magnolia looks amazing this year.

Well here is another blog post from me. I made quite a few bits with these new dies.

The grid die doesn't have an outer border so you can make the border any size you want. I cut the Cosmo flowers from some Clarity Designer paper. I mostly used Linen card for the rest of the card. There are some gorgeous colours. When we visit my in-laws the Art of Craft shop is just down the road from them. The Crafts-Too warehouse is next door and I have been there too.

Here is our tree and our washing.

Some of the flowers.

The inspiration for this card came because my lovely Mother-in-law is very poorly. It would be so nice to send her a card like this. With an Alphabet it is so easy to personalise cards and other makes.

Regal Alphabet New Baby Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your week? Have you got something nice planned for the weekend? John Lockwood AKA John Next Door has some new dies releasing on Create and Craft on Sunday. I have made a few samples and I will be sharing them over the next few day.

Here is a new baby card that I  made using the Regal Alphabet Dies .

The grid cuts out the tiles and you can cut them in lots of different colours. The letter cut out from the squares. I had lots of fun with grids, squares and colours. The teddy is from the Box Insert Baby Bear die set.

I have lots more cards to share with you. I will be back for a few days.

Have a good weekend.

Twelve very quick Christmas cards.

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends,

How is your week going? I hope you are getting everything done that you want to do. We are mostly doing Christmas prep in our free time. Work for me finishes tomorrow. We have a busy weekend ahead but things should calm down after that.

I seriously misjudged how many Christmas cards I needed. When we were writing them on Sunday I realised that I needed to make a few more. Now there isn't  a lot of time left is there? So I needed to make some quickly.

I made three of each of these designs so that is twelve altogether. They are made with a Kanban pad that was a members gift from Create and Craft a while back. I was looking through the pack I noticed that some of the sentiments on pages of four  matched some of the backgrounds. I added a few die cuts and there you have it some quick cards.

The deer family dies, from Sue Wilson's  2015 Festive Collection of dies, I thought went well with the designs just cut in white. Did anyone else get the Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar? Everyday there is a new die it is a lovely gift, I used the star from my collection of dies on one of the cards.

The recipents seemed to like these cards. I still have a few cards to make. Next year I am going to have to be more careful about calculating how many cards I need.

Tattered Lace - Victorian Swirl Embossing Folder and other dies.

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? We are still in Colchester. Today we went into Tiptree to visit the jam factory there my Facebook friends will know that we found the coffee shop. There was also a museum and a shop we even bought some presents for people. We finished the day looking round Colchester itself.

A few weeks back I was sent the Victorian Swirl Embossing folder,  the Flower Vase and the Fancy Card label Victorian Swirl die set to make samples for Tattered Lace for shows that will be screened today on Create and Craft TV.

This is all the samples I sent in. I rather liked the embossing folder so I made quite a few samples. Altogether I sent in five cards, two tags, a book mark and a gift bag.

I think the Victorian Swirl embossing folder is a very elegant folder and it lends itself to being cut up to make different designs. I cut an A4 sheet of card at 16 cm length ways and this fitted just right in the embossing folder. I embossed several pieces of card then I cut them into three along the score lines and I mixed and matched the colours.

The decoration on this gift bag is very simple but I think very stylish.

This was the first card I made. I had a commission wedding card that I had been struggling with. The colours for the wedding are the same as this card so once I had sent my samples in I used the embossing folder to make the card I had been putting off. The recipient was thrilled when I gave it to her.

You can see the detail of the embossing folder in the background of this gate fold card. The dies in the middle are from the Fancy Card Label Victorian Swirl die set.

A simple tag made with the embossing folder.

I decided to make a bookmark with some of the leftovers from the embossing folder.

I got this flower vase die as well. If you look carefully you can see the embossing folder in the background.

I did like this die set I enjoyed playing around with the different layers.

With the flower vase die it was so easy to remove the vase I knew I had to make a card with just the flowers. I cut the flowers out of white card and I coloured the flowers with my Promarkers.  I used the centre of the Fancy label die set for the sentiment.

Here this the whole flower vase on a tag.

I did enjoy making these samples.
Today we are off to visit some family in Suffolk.

Tattered Lace - Craft a Card Collection

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? We had lots of fun with our daughter and her fiancé on Saturday. Both my daughter and I now have hats for the wedding in July. We also saw the new Captain America film. It really helped that it was such a lovely sunny day to make it special.

On Saturday the new Craft a Card Collection was launched by Tattered Lace dies on Create and Craft TV. These dies are the ones that I was sent by Craft Channel Productions Ltd. The chances are that these are the last dies I will work with for them as I haven't reapplied to be on their Design Team. It was a lovely set to use.

This is the whole collection of cards that I sent off.

For this one I made the background of the card with my Brushos.

This is quite a small card I made it with some bits left over from another project.

Here is the card on TV as you can see they displayed it differently to me but that doesn't matter.

I had fun making this card I found I could use the large card die to make mats any size I wanted.

Stephanie Weightman was very keen on this card she said some very nice things about it and she even talked about how it was made in the second show.

I used the Pindot flowers on the tag.

When I saw the die set the first thing I thought of was an easel card and this is the one I made. I decorated it with the flowers.

Here is is on TV it was right in the middle of the display under the die sets.

I loved making this card not just because the flowers are very pretty but I worked out how to use my vertical sentiment die set.

You can just see this card on the counter next to the dies.

Another small card. I could see this in a pile in the studio but it didn't get shown.

This is the picture of the same card that was shared on the Tattered Lace Facebook page.

Tomorrow is my birthday. I only work in the morning my husband has taken the afternoon off so we are going to have a little  treat. I don't think the weather will be as good as at the weekend.

Have a great week.

Tattered Lace - Congratulations, Spaceman and Rocket Dies

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you had a good weekend and are refreshed for the week ahead. We enjoyed Lee Hurst on Saturday evening and on Sunday we had a quiet day catching up on jobs.

These are the samples I sent in for Tattered Lace shows on Create and Craft on Saturday 16th April.

Here are all the samples together.

I did like the congratulations die I did use it on the Sunflower wedding card I posted a few days ago.

I have had the space paper in my stash for ages it was nice to have a project to use it on.

I used a mask to create the background for the Spaceman.

I found the chocolate stars in my local newsagent. I think this would make a good party gift.

The Spaceman and the Rocket went well together on this gift bag.

I used a the Tattered Lace Pierced tag set to create the tags.

The tag was the only one of my samples to be shown on TV.

This is the cheeky robin that was hopping all over the garden when my husband was cutting the grass.  I would have taken some more photos but my camera battery ran out.

I hope you have a great week.

Happy Crafting.
