Beccy's Place - Country Floral Digital image set

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? On Saturday we had a trip to our local garden centre. We had a coffee there and we picked up some supplies. As the weather was nice we spent the afternoon cleaning and oiling a garden table we had been given.  On Sunday we had a trip to see our daughter and son-in-law we took them some supplies for packing. We are all hoping they are going to move soon.

I am one of the Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. Which means that I get some truly gorgeous images to work with. The one I am show casing now is the Encore Set Country Floral. The images are just so pretty. I am featured on Beccy's Blog today click HERE to see my makes there

The papers were in my stash.

This is the Country Floral Digital Stamp set and it is available HERE. There are pre-coloured images and line art in the set.

I used the oval with the flowers. I coloured the flowers with my Prismacolor pencils. Once the image was coloured I fussy cut it.

This sentiment added nicely inside the oval.

I coloured the ladybird and then I cut is out. I added the antennae with a Micron pen my cutting out isn't that good.

I made a cute little tag too. The ladybirds look good in different colours.

I really did enjoy using this set. I think I will turn to this set often.

Pretty Flowers in a Vase

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I went for a walk with a friend yesterday. We had a coffee in Costa and we walked in the rain. We came back to mine and I made us lunch. It was nice seeing her and having a chance to catch up.

I have been struggling to craft but I have been enjoying colouring with my pencils. So in the evening sometimes now I sit and colour some images that I have printed.

I found a backing paper in my stash that went with the colours I had used on the image. The lace was in my stash.

I coloured this image from Conie Fong with my Faber-Castell Polychromos. They are lovely pencils to use.

At the moment I am trying to make a waterfall card for my father-in-laws birthday in September. I will let you know how I get on. Enjoy the rest of the week.

Crafty Catz Challenge blog - Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your week been? I hope you have something nice  planned for the weekend. Here in the UK we have a long weekend ahead of us. For us the Saturday will be spent doing jobs in the garden sadly last year with all the wedding prep we did the garden got away from us. On Sunday we will be visiting our parents again. We will be taking my parents out for a meal all our birthday come in the following week. We need to see my husband's parents to give back the hat and jacket that were borrowed for the Murder Mystery Meal. On Monday we will be meeting our daughter and son-in-law and having a meal together and we will be seeing Infinity War at the posh cinema in Southampton. That is a birthday treat for me.

Back to business being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. This time the theme Anything Goes with the optional twist of Add Flowers. The fabulous sponsor is All Dressed Up Digi Stamps.  The prize is two images of choice to the winner.

I do love the shades of mauve that come in centura pearl card. The corners were cut with the  Cottage Garden die that came free with a magazine last year. The ribbon and doily were in my stash.

There are some truly beautiful images in the Store. If you click on the logo you will be taken there.

This image is called Girl on Bike and she is available HERE.  She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers. I then cut her out with my ScanNcut adding a border.

The sentiment I had in my stash.

This corner die set is so pretty.

Here we all are dressed up for our 1920's Murder Mystery Meal. Everyone made an effort and the hosts decorated brilliantly.

Here are me and my husband in our borrowed costumes. The dress I was wearing was so comfortable to wear. The lady with us was playing my daughter so it seemed right to be photographed together.

Here we all are sat down to eat. There were eight main parts and we all had a script. There were three scenes fitted in around the food. I won't let on who did it as some of you might get the chance to have a go at this one.

We had loads of fun and we raised £140 for Macmillan cancer support. The pack for the event came from them. I do hope they do one next year.

I am going to save this card for someone who loves biking.

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes sponsor Fred She Said

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? Today I have a catching up kind of day  I will be  getting on with Design Team things so I can get ahead. We are planning to have a few days away and I don't like to let anyone down.

The first of the month is always a busy day in blogland. Today the new challenge starts on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes and the sponsor this time is Fred She Said.  The prize is a $10 gift certificate to the winner who is picked by Random.org.

The image I used comes from the  Doodled Floral Corner Digi set with Sentiments which is available  HERE.  As the images and sentiment are PNG images I was able to place them onto a background I had created in Publisher. I printed onto Neenah card and I added an extra set of flowers to the sheet before printing. I coloured the flowers and leaves with Promakers. I also coloured the flowers from the extra set and I cut them out and shaped them before placing them over the flowers on the card. I cut all the mats and layers with the Double Pierced Square dies from Creative Expressions.

There are many wonderful images in the store if you click on the logo you will be taken there.

I like this design so much I am going to use it to make my thank you cards for my birthday that is coming up soon.

Always Fun Challenges - Flowers

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? I hope you did something nice. On Sunday we went to visit my husband's parents and take them out for a meal. My husband is borrowing a hat from them that will  be part of a costume for a murder mystery evening we are going to this week. I have a lovely friend who has lent me my costume including a fur coat. If there are any photos I will share them with you.

You might have noticed that I have joined a new design team Always Fun Challenges. This is my first card for them. The challenges are weekly starting on a Monday and finishing on a Saturday. There is always a theme this time it is Flowers.

I was making a card for an event later in the year and I liked part of the design and I thought that it might work well on a card by itself. This is what I ended up with. All the papers came from my stash.

The challenges are fun and you just have to follow the theme.

I cut the sentiment with a Signature die set.

The flowers were made with the Cape Daisy die set from Creative Expressions. They are the same dies I used to make the button holes for the wedding last year. This was the first time I have used the dies since the wedding. I used left over papers from the wedding too. I used the Faux Quillled Leaves dies from Creative Expression to make the leaves. The ovals were cut with some Tattered Lace dies.

I do like to have a few cards like this put by you never know when you might need one.

Beccy's Place - Tea Time

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? I had to go to the doctors yesterday but everything is fine. Have you noticed that I have put on comment moderation?  I felt I had to do this as twice recently I have had a lot of spam comments. I will keep an eye on the comments and if all calms down I will take the comment moderation off.

Today I am sharing the cards I made with the second set of images that I was sent by Beccy Muir at Beccy's Place to work with. The set is called Tea Time and is available HERE.

The images are all in the PNG format. Which means they have no background and can be layered over a background and other images. You can get so many different looks by changing which images you put together. I just couldn't resist these flowers in the cup. I used Publisher to manipulate the images and to create the background. All my colouring was done with Promarkers.

For this card I used one of my own photos I took at  Standen House  and Garden which we visited just before Christmas last year. I think the cups look great stacked up in front on the dresser. The background I made with the strip die from the Sandwich Box die set from John Next Door.

If you click on the image you will be taken to this set in the store.

Beccy really does have some wonderful image sets in her store. There is always precoloured versions of the images which can really save time if you are in a hurry.

Here are the two cards together. I didn't realise how much I would enjoy digital crafting.

LOTV Bunny 18th Birthday card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors,

How is your week going? I have been enjoying the sunny weather by catching up on a few jobs. It is nice not to be held back by in any way with the rain. The birds seem to be enjoying the sunny weather too.

A while back someone on Facebook in one of the groups I am in put out a request for birthday cards for her daughter's 18th birthday. I agreed to send a card this is it.

I started by finding an image and I based the colours of the card  around that. The paper was in my stash.

This cute LOTV image came from a pad of images. I thought the bunny was cute and the balloon and cake were just right for a birthday. I cut an aperture with the Double Pierced Rectangle dies by Creative Expression.

I used the Double Pierced Circle dies to highlight the age. The numbers were cut with some Crafter's Companion dies.

The balloons ware a Tattered Lace die. The flowers were created with a punch and the leaves are the Star Flower Leaves from John Next Door.

I did get a lovely thank you for this card which was nice.

Build a Bouquet die and stamp set from issue 162 of Simply Cards & Papercraft

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope your weekend has been good. We did manage to buy a fridge and matching freezer from a local shop some friends told us about recently and the price was good too. My husband has been working on his speech for the wedding and that is nearly finished. I just have the table plan  that will be displayed to finish this will be done next weekend. I had to make another for the caters so they know where everyone will be sitting.

When I got issue 162 of Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine I just had to use the Build a Bouquet stamp and die set that came with the magazine. I made a card and sent it into the magazine. Well I have had issue 164 at home for a while (I have a subscription) and when I couldn't sleep last night I was looking through it and on page 98 I spotted my card.

All the papers I used were in my stash. The jam jar had its own die.

The sentiment came with the set and was stamped with Watering Can Archival ink. I matted it with the same card as the main mats for the card.

The single flower stamp had its own die so it was easy to cut out. I stamped with Watering Can Archival and I coloured with my Stampin Up water colour pencils.

I stamped the main bouquet three times once coloured I cut them out by hand.

Here is my card printed in issue 164 of Simply Cards & Papercraft.  They wrote a lovely message about the card.

Have a great week.

I would like to join the challenge at the Seize the Birthday Challenge blog.

Safari Friends Birthday card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going. Yesterday we went to see Sister Act at the theatre it was brilliant. Today I have been on a school trip to look at rivers in the New Forest ( this will be my last ever school trip). I am a bit tired and a bit behind with things. Hopefully I will be able to catch up over the rest of the week.

I could resist buying issue 145 of Papercraft Essentials magazine with its Animal Friends embossing folder and stamp set back in April. As our daughter is getting married in a zoo I used this set to make her birthday card.

The Zebra paper was left over from makes for the wedding. The flowers were created with a punch and the leaves with the Laurel Leave die designed  by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

All the stamps were stamped in black archival and coloured with me Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

I cut the animals out with my Brother Scan and cut that way they can have an even border.

I made a little scene with the couple. I framed it with a Sue Wilson die it was nice to have the hearts in the frame.

Yes I used my Crafter's Companion Happy Birthday die again it is a good size.

I took this photo on the trip. We were doing activities around the river and this group of horses with a foal came for a drink and then went again.

She was very pleased with this card. I did enjoy using the stamps it is a great set.
