Reef Travellers - from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We went parent visiting yesterday and they all seem to be in fine form and the care for them all seems to be working. On these trips we get coffee in a nice little coffee shop a trip to the Art of Craft Shop and a nice meal with my husband's brothers and wives.

This is a sad post for me. This is the last time I will be posting as one of Beccy's Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. I have decided to step down from the Design Team. I am finding I have less time to craft and this is only going to get worse. When our grandchild arrives we will be doing child care two days a week. Beccy has been very understanding and she is a dream to work with. The images come in plenty of time before the deadline for the makes. Beccy is always so kind about what you have made.

The last image set I have worked with is called Reef Travellers. I made three very similar cards.

I have a Nautical paper pad that came from The Works. The papers worked so well with this images. I added some die cuts to this card.

This is a proper DL card. All the sentiments I used came from the set. The images were coloured with Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.

With this card I used up strips of the nautical papers. This design works with Washi Tape too.

Here are all three cards together.

What have I decided about blogging? I am certainly going to be cutting back for a while. I really am not making so much. We might start buying cards this year. I won't say I won't blog ever again just not so much.

Tractor Pull Digital Image Set from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How are you all doing. We have just come home from our cruise. The Iona is a fabulous ship. I think we have to have another cruise on her to get to know her better. I have come back slightly damaged, more of that later.

I am one of the blog contributors for Beccy's Place. This month the fantastic Tractor Pull Digital Image set has been released. Here are my makes with the images.

This is a very versatile set. Here is a birthday card.

Now a Christmas card. Both of these cards used  Pre-coloured images. For the Christmas card I used the Stencils Sentiments dies from the John Next Door Range.

Here I used just one element and a sentiment from the set. The balloons were coloured by me with my Faber Castell Polychromo colouring pencils.

Here are the cards together. I think this set has lots of potential.

Best Wishes from a Cute Elephant

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We saw all our parents yesterday. My parents seem very happy with the two carers that they now live with them. I am sure it is better for them to be in their own home. My husband's parents are just starting out on the care journey. I think they will be needing more help soon. The Art of Craft shop is just down the road from my in-laws. We popped in yesterday between visits. I was a bit naughty and I treated myself to some goodies.

Here is a card I made with the last of the images from the Chute Digital Image Set from Beccy's Place. I had coloured the image but I ran out of time to make it into a card for the deadline for sending it to Beccy.

For the background I used some strips of leftover Designer paper from Claritystamp. The sentiment was cut into the paper with my Stencil Sentiments die set from the John Next Door range.

This is the cute elephant from the Chute Digital Image Set from Beccy's Place which is available HERE. He was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo colouring pencils.

This is another cute little card for my stash.

Chute from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? We have had a quiet time at home catching up on things that need to be done in the house and garden. The spring flowers are starting to appear which is nice. On Sunday when it was raining we went to the cinema to see Death on the Nile.

I was sent the Chute Digital Image set from Beccy's Place to use. Here is what I made.

I coloured the images with my Faber Castell Polychromo Colouring pencils. All the papers and die cuts came from my stash.

With this card I added so faux stitching around the edge.

Here are the two cards together.

Have a good week.

Nuts 'N' Bolts from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors.

Let's start with an apology. I am sorry I haven't been posting much. I have been crafting but they are all projects for the future. Life has thrown a bit of a curve ball as well. My parents now need two live in carers. We had to source a bed for the second one. So with that and invigilating life is just a bit hectic.

Here is a post about the fabulous new digital image set from Beccy's Place called Nuts 'N' Bolts

This is my first card. I did colour the image with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils. I had to add some John Next Door Cogs.

For the second card I added two of the robots and again I coloured them with my Faber Castell
Polychromo Colouring pencils. The back was made with another John Next Door die this one from the Stencil Alphabet set.

Here are the two cards together. This is such a fun image set to use.

Some of my favourite makes from 2021

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope that you all had a good Christmas. We did get to stay with our Daughter and Son-in-law. We had a lovely meal together and plenty of walks with the dog. I am sharing our special family news: in June we will become Grandparents. I still can't quite believe it. As a family we feel very blessed. There is still a long way to go but the signs are looking good.

My back has continued to be a problem. I have taken to use the laptop standing up in the kitchen,

I thought I would share some of my favourite makes from the year.  Some of these bring back special memories.

I have made a few Box cards this year. This is the one I made for our daughter's 30th birthday. I drew the paper myself. This reminds me of not only our lovely daughter but also of my love of doodling.

This is another favourite design of card. It is a Diamond Point card and there are lots of instructions on YouTube for how to make them. On my blog this has been the most looked at card of the year.

Here is the Christmas card I gave to my in-laws this year. They are both in their 90s and just recently they have started to need care. It is always nice to give them something special. The card was made entirely with John Next Door dies.

This twisted easel card was my Father-in-Laws birthday card. He still gets out in his garden every day.

I have been on the Beccy's Place design team for a long time. I do like using her images. The background was made with Snippets which I like doing a lot. There always seem to be more Snippets.

Here is a special birthday card I made again all with John Next Door dies. I am very thrilled to be one of his Angels.

I also love reusing old cards. This image worked so well with the paper.

Here is the Christmas card I made for our Daughter and Son-in-law. Our daughter has always loved penguins. These are Two Jays penguins. I had fun colouring them and cutting them our.

This is one of the cards that I made for the John Next Door Christmas box kit. I wrote two articles for the magazine, It is so lovely to get opportunities like this.

Here is one of my favourite cards I made for Beccy's Place. I do love sunflowers.

Lastly this is the Christmas card I made for our very good friends (the ones we go on Beatles trips with). Our Daughter drew them for us. I also drew the wreath. I know they were thrilled with this card. I am hoping to do more with our Daughter's images in the future.

I won't be making so many cards going forward. I have decided to stay on the Beccy's Place Design team and on John's Team of Angels. I will only be making special cards for people in between. I expect I will be blogging a lot less. This was the first year for ages we sent bought Christmas Cards.

Happy New Year to you all. I do hope that 2022 is kinder to all of us.

Happy Crafting

Christmas Cheers with Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How was your weekend? We celebrated our Son-in-law's birthday on Saturday. He is a very good cook. Then on Sunday we went to a quiz with our friends. We didn't do very well we are rather out of practice.

I am not crafting very much at the moment. I have been helping at Felting Workshops ( I am making myself a set of Christmas Pudding decorations for our tree). What free time I have seems to be spent on the phone sorting out things for my parents. As time goes on things are getting harder. I am sure some of you know what we are going through. I will not be blogging as much as usual. I am sure no one will mind.

Here is a card that I made with one of the images from the Christmas Cheers Digital Image set from Beccy's Place.

When I make cards for Beccy I always print more images than I need. I have found colouring very relaxing so these extra images have been very useful. All the papers were in my stash.

The image was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.

This card will be winging it's way to a new recipient very soon.

Christmas with Beccy's Place and Mr Snowflake

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been. We had a meal with our friends on Saturday evening. Sunday was a quiet day we just had to pick up my friend's artwork from an Art Show. This meant that they were able to visit relatives on the Isle of Wight. My lovely Mother-in-law is back in hospital for more blood transfusions. It is such a worrying time for us all. We were able to visit last Thursday.

This is Encore Week at Beccy's Place. I was given the older Mr Snowflake digital Stamp set to use.

Here are the cards that I made.

For this slimline card I used the pre-coloured snowman. The sentiment was foiled with my Kaleido.

For this card I use the wreath and one to the sentiments. The wreath was coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromo pencils and then fussy cut. The paper were from my stash and I used the John Next Door Snowflake Corners again.

I had great fun making these cards. I love how it is so easy to flip and resize digital images. The colouring is very relaxing too.

Don't forget it is the last day of Beccy's Christmas Challenge too.

Making Merry, Christmas Elves from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you are all well. We aren't around for a while. I will catching up with things we are around again.

Beccy from Beccy's Place has created some fantastic elf images that are great fun to use. My first thought was to make some Christmas tags. I ended up making three slimline cards. I was using the Making Merry Digital Image set.

I do love those Snowflake Corners.

Aren't those images fun.

I was able to use some lovely papers.

This is a lovely set of cards just right for posting,

Here is my bonus project. I decorated a gift bag. I coloured the image and I drew the background. This is the sort of thing that I find very relaxing.

Here are all of my makes together. They are lots of fun.

Christmas Cheers from Beccy's Place

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How has your weekend been? Today we have been to visit my in-laws. My lovely Mother-in-law is really very poorly. She is still very with it and a pleasure to visit. We always do a test before we go. After this we won't be able to visit for a while.

Beccy from Beccy's Place has done it again she had produced some gorgeous Christmas images. Who doesn't love those speciality Christmas drinks you can get at this time of year. Here are the cards that I made with the Christmas Cheers  Digital image set.

I fancied colouring in blues and mauves and I found some papers that matched. The snowflake corners are from the John Next Door Range.

More traditional greens and reds this time. The papers I had in my stash and those snowflake corners are there again.

This time I made a collage on the computer of all the pre-coloured images and some of the sentiments. Those snowflake corners are there again. I might just be obsessed.

This is the Christmas Cheers Digital Image set which is available HERE. You get line art that you can colour too.

Here are all three cards together. I will think carefully about who to send these cards to. It will have to be someone who is into their hot drinks as much as we are.

Have a good week.
