Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

This is something of a sad post for me. I have decided to step down from the Emerald City Crafts Challenge blog. I have very much enjoyed my time on the team helping to get the challenge blog up and running. Now it is time for me to move on. Linda has been very gracious about my decision. I would like to wish her all the best for the future I am sure there are some very exciting times ahead for Linda and the rest of the team.

The new challenge starts today and as usual the theme is Anything Goes and mixed media projects are welcome.

The paper I used came from Set 3 of the Mademoiselle Digital Designer paper. The embossing folder is from Tattered Lace. 

Linda's store is worth a visit there is Ephemera, Digital Papers, Stencils and much more. If the click on the logo you will be taken to the store. 

The images I used came from the Mademoiselle Ephemera collection.  

This is a Creative Expressions die.

Emerald City Crafts Challenge Blog - Anything Goes Challenge 7

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

It is Friday already. I hope that you have something nice planned for the weekend. The start of the month is always busy in Blogland and today is no exception there will be two posts from me.

The new challenge of the new year starts on the Emerald City Crafts challenge blog.

I decided to decorate a tag. 

The ephemera is available from Linda Simpson designs click on the logo and you will be taken to the store. 

The ephemera I used is from a set called Les Beaux Oiseaux Designer Ephemera and is available HERE.  

I added various die-cuts to the design. 

I might even make this into a card sometime. 

I would like to enter this into the optional blue challenge at the More Mixed Media Challenge blog and challenge 133 at the Let's Craft and Create challenge blog.

Emerald City Crafts Challenge Blog - Challenge 6

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

Today is a busy day for me in Blogland. I have three Design Team posts that coincide. Sorry for the overload of my makes.

The the first post is for the new challenge on the Emerald City Crafts challenge blog the theme is always Anything Goes. 

I started with the image and made the card to match. 

This image comes from the Joyeux Noel Ephemera collections available HERE. 

There are lots of lovely bits in Linda's store it is well worth a look. Click on the logo to visit the store. 

I made the Poinsettia with the Classic Poinsettia die from Creative Expressions. 

The 25 was cut with an X-cut die set. 

I stamped the holly and coloured them with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. 

I sent this card to a Christmas sale and it actually sold. 

I would like to enter the Month of Christmas Cards Challenge at Beccy's Challenge Blog.

Emerald City Crafts Challenge Blog - Challenge 5

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

I will start with an apology. I will be posting twice today. Two of the Design Teams I am on coincide today. It happens once a month. I know I made a statement about not blogging so much and I don't seem to be sticking to it.  Design team commitments often come at the start of the month.

Back to business. The new challenge starts today on the Emerald City Crafts Challenge blog it is our fifth challenge and the theme is always Anything Goes.

Linda has many wonderful things on her website. If you click on the logo you will be taken there. 

This image comes from the Joyeux Noel Ephemera available from Linda's website. 

I used a collection of Creative Expressions dies to make an embellishment that reflected the flower spray from the image. 

This is a stamp from IndigoBlu. I was really lucky and picked it up in a sale for 50p. 

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. We might be going to the NEC craft show on Sunday I won a ticket just one and there is all the travel and parking costs to think about.

Emerald City Crafts - Challenge 4 - Always Anything Goes

It is Friday again so nearly the weekend. I hope you have something nice planned. This is the first of two posts from me today.

The fourth challenge starts on the Emerald City Crafts Challenge blog today. The theme is always Anything Goes.

I used papers and ephemera from Linda Simpson Designs. 

This image come from the Les Beaux Oiseaux Designer Ephemera set. 

The butterflies were cut with a Sue Wilson die. The mats were cut with the Double Pierced Rectangle dies. 

The die I used for the corners is a Sizzix die.

Emerald City Crafts Challenge Blog - Challenge 3 always Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

I am back this time for the third challenge on the Emerald City Crafts Challenge blog as always the theme is Anything Goes and we really mean that.

This month I decided to decorate a tag. I used some lace from my stash and I added die cut feathers and butterflies. 

The bird image comes from the Les Beaux Oiseaux Designer Ephemera available from Linda Simpson Designs. The images come in two different sizes. 

Linda Simpson has a new website where you can purchase digital downloads of the ephemera and papers. If you click on the image you should be taken to the store. 

This shows some of the detail of the Delicate Feather Tattered Lace die that I used. 

I do enjoy decorating tags the images and papers make is easy and they are a good way to use up small bits and pieces from your stash.
