Elegant Wedding Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

It is the last day of the half term holiday just the weekend to go now. We are heading off to Bristol later this morning.  We will be staying in the hotel we will be using for the wedding so that we can check things out. On Saturday we will be visiting the company who we are hiring the chairs from. It is going to be busy.

One of the ladies at work is getting married soon. It is only going to be a small affair but I wanted to make her a card. She showed me a picture of her dress and I used the colours as inspiration for this card.

I took an 8" x 8" card blank and trimmed it down to 7" x 7". I found two sheets of the pink card in my stash for the mats and layers. The paper came from a pad by Wild Rose Studios I am using these papers for our daughter's wedding. For the background detail I used the corner die from the French Collection Border Corner Tag die set by Creative Expressions.

I cut the sentiment with the Expressions Ornate Oval On Your Special Day die set from Creative Expressions. I do cut these sorts of details from centre of the mats below to save card.

I used a piece of matching paper and a Deep Punch around the page punch set to create the border. I added a plan square that I inked around the edge so I can write a message.

I hope she likes this card. I isn't long till her wedding now they have only been planning it for a few weeks.

Another Leaving Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have had a good week. I am on holiday from school now I have been spending my time between crafting and getting ready for our holiday. I am hoping to do one more post before I go. I am working on scheduling posts for Design Team commitments which are due while I am away. So I will be popping up from time to time.

As I have said a few times there were a few people leaving at the end of term. I made a couple of cards for lots people to sign and a few individual cards just from me. I needed just one more card and I remembered the Craftworks cards kit that I got as a members gift from Create and Craft.

This was quite a simple card to make. Though I have to admit that I have never used Craftworks Candi when making a card before. The flowery border was cut with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set.

To decorate the image I used Candi that came in the set.  I stuck the Candi to the image with Pinflair gel glue I found this easier than foam pads.

I cut the sentiment with some Spellbinder dies.

I did enjoy making this card. There are some beautiful images in the rest of the pack. You might be seeing a few more of these cards.

I hope that you have a great weekend.

Delightful Digi's - Christmas Bear with Stocking

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We spent some time yesterday going round the shops in Southampton getting all the bits that we need for our holiday (a cruise) which to my surprise included a suit for my husband. Today I am hoping to finish a card for one of the design teams I am on.

I am sharing a Christmas card using an image and backing paper from the Christmas Collection at Delightful Digi's.

The card started with an 8" x 8" dark blue card blank then I cut a mat in Royal blue Centura Pearl card. I made the snowflake border with a Martha Stewart punch around the page set. I cut the backing paper to fit the center of the punched mat I inked the edges and sprayed the paper with Spray and Sparkle in silver.

Here is Bear with Stocking I coloured him with Promarkers I used a gold one to colour the center of the star.

I made a snowflake with some Spellbinder dies I added a dazzler to the center. The ribbon I had in my Christmas stash (yes it is separate to the rest of my stash). The sentiment was cut with a Signature die.

I am getting the hang of the new laptop and I rather like the photo editing package I am using now.

I hope you have a good Sunday and get done all the things that you want to.

Happy Crafting
