Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog April Challenge Anything Goes

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

🐥🐤🐣Happy Easter!🐣🐤🐥

Can you believe this I am posting on Easter Sunday. We are attending church and then I have a big meal to cook for our daughter, son-in-law and our new in-laws.

Being the first of the month the new challenge starts on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog the theme is always Anything Goes and the sponsor this time is Star Stampz.

I found the papers in my stash.

Star in My Pocket is another name for Star Stampz if you click on the logo you will be taken to the Etsy store. There are many beautiful images there.

This image is called Kimono Portrait and it is available HERE. She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers.

The flowers were cut with the Petite Peony Cluster die set from Creative Expressions. I used colours of card to match the colours I had used on the image.

I must admit that I did make this into an Easter card for our daughter and son-in-law. They will definitely have it by now.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Retirement Card

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

Well that was a busy weekend. I hope you had a good time too. I had a great time at Ally Pally I bought some new bits (it would be rude not to) and I met up with some lovely people. My back was very good too which helped hugely.  On Sunday we went to talk to our nephew and his fiancee, in Aldershot,  about their wedding invitations. When we got home we went to an extension warming . Back to normal today.

My husband asked me to make a retirement card for someone at his work. He gave her the  card last Friday so it fine for me to share it now.

I found the image on an old card. The image set the tone for the card.  The paper was left over from the wedding. The flowery strip in the middle came from the bottom of the card. The die top and bottom of the image is the Ursa die one of Sue Wilson's Gemini dies.

I can't remember the name of this little character. I am sure someone will know. It just seemed to be a good image for a lady's retirement card.

This is a Britannia die. I have a few of their word dies and they are very useful.

The flowers were cut with Petite Peony Cluster die from the finishing touches collection from Creative Expressions.

The extension warming we went to was at the house of my friend who  is an artist and she runs felting workshops. She asked me if I would be happy to help at these workshops and I said yes. I am very excited and I will be learning a new skill. My first workshop will be next week.  Have a great week.

Happy Birthday - Birds by Pollyanna Pickering

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you had a great weekend and are ready for the week ahead. We had a lovely weekend. On Saturday I went to a craft workshop and my husband met a friend in town for lunch in the evening we had a meal with friends. On Sunday in the evening we headed into Southampton to see the light show on the city walls it was amazing. I hope they do more events like this in the future.

I was having a play with some new dies. I am naughty I keep buying myself new bits and pieces

I decided to make a trellis to match the image  with the Trellis Edger die set by Creative Expressions.

The Happy Birthday was cut with a Crafter's Companion die.

This is another image from my pad of images by Pollyanna Pickering.

To match the flowers in the image I cut the leave from green vellum with the Laurel die set by Creative Expressions and the flower with the Petite Peony Cluster die set.

Here are some of the photos I took last night at the light show in Southampton.

These hanging lights changed colour and made patterns all to gentle music. You could stand among them too.

There were lots of images projected onto the historic walls.

It is my half term holiday this week and I have managed to fill every day with seeing different people it is really nice. Someone is even taking me shopping to look at Mother of the Bride outfits. Enjoy your week.

Happy Crafting
