Crafty Catz Challenge blog Anything Goes with the optional twist of Colours of Spring

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

I hope you had a good week and have something nice planned for the coming weekend. On Saturday we are off to Ally Pally for the Craft show. We go on the train. It is a good day out. On Sunday we are heading off to Hastings for Beatles Day. It is a whole day dedicated to Beatles songs performed by many different people and the proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support. It is a very good day. We have been a few times now with our friends.

Being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes and the optional theme is Colours of Spring. The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine.

I found the paper in my stash and I cut an aperture for the image with my Double Pierced dies from Creative Expressions.

There are many gorgeous images in the store click on the logo and you will be taken there.

This image is called Rory's Hollyhocks and is available HERE. She was printed onto Neenah card and coloured with Promarkers.

This is such a useful die from Crafter's Companion.

I used the Star Flower Leaves from the John Next Door range and I created the flowers with punches.

Have a great weekend. We are off to the Crafting at Ally Pally on Saturday and on Sunday we are going to Hastings for the annual Beatles Day.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Crafty Catz Challenge Blog - Love is in the Air

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is nearly here. I hope you have something nice planned. It is going to be a busy one for us. In the evening on Saturday there will be a party to celebrate my in-laws 70th Wedding Anniversary. We have helped with some of the preparations. I have also arranged for a card to be sent from the Queen. We are staying in a Premier Inn over night so we can help with the tidying up after the party. There will be a dash home on Sunday  so our daughter and son-in-law can bring the rabbits and hamster to stay. They will be travelling to America next week. I am so glad I got the rabbit room ready last weekend.

Being Friday the new challenge starts on the Crafty Catz Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes with the optional twist of Love is in the Air. The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine.

In the background I used some of the dies from the Sandwich Box die set from John Next Door. I am very impressed by how well these dies cut. The patterned paper was in my stash and matched the colours I had used for the image.

The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine there are some wonderful images in the store if you click on the logo you will be taken there.

The image I used is called Rory's Love Graffiti and is available HERE.  She was printed onto Neenah card stock and coloured with Promakers.

The is a circle stamp I do find it very useful especially if I haven't left much room for a sentiment.

I hope you have a great weekend. Take care.

Crafty Catz Challenge Blog - Anything Goes with the option of Halloween

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is nearly here. I hope you have something nice planned. We are hoping to go to the Ally Pally Craft show at the weekend. I have bought the tickets but I am a bit worried about my back which is still playing up. We will just have to wait and see.

The new challenge starts today on the Crafty Catz challenge blog the theme is always Anything goes this time with the optional theme of Halloween. The sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and the team had images that we could work with. I have agreed to stay on as guest designer on the blog for the next month it was so nice to be asked.

Well if you know me  you know that I don't really do Halloween so I made a fun card with this quirky image. I embossed the background with a star patterned embossing folder then I inked over it with Distress inks.

There are many wonderful images in the store. Click on the logo and you should be taken there.

He is rather cute and he is called Franklin Beastie her is available HERE. I coloured him with Promarkers. I added a little heart to show that he is loved.

This sentiment came from an old card it seemed rather appropriate.

There you have it my card for the next challenge. It is nice to know that I will be staying on for a while. On another note I have been asked to make our nephews wedding invitations. The wedding is going to be in Malta so that will be a bit different.

Happy Crafting

Take care

Creative Artiste - Traditional Christmas Colours

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Well we have got to Friday and the weekend is nearly here. We are planning on visiting both sets of parents one set needs a new computer and the other needs a new television.

Firstly, today sees the start of a new challenge on the Creative Artiste Challenge blog and the theme is traditional colours. White for snow is traditional isn't it?

My image came from Lacy Sunshine and she is called Frozen Luna Moonflower Blooming Beauty. Well Frozen was in the name and I could only think of snow and ice when I saw this image.

If you click on the logo above you will be taken to the store. There are some beautiful images on offer.

She was coloured with Promarkers. I cut a frame for the image.

I embossed the background with a snowflake embossing folder. Then I cut the Sue Wilson Snowflake border four times and used it to surround the card. I added some extra snow flakes to the design and to the centre of each snowflake I added a PVA pearl.

Now I didn't just leave it there I was challenged to make some thing other than a card so I decided to make one of my gift bags with sweets at the bottom.

Again I coloured the image with Promarkers and this time I made a blue frame.

I edged the image with the Snowflake border die this time I trimmed it to fit and I added extra snow flakes to the corners. Over the top of the sweets I put a piece of blue card edged with silver. The sweets are meant to be snowballs they are from a high end chocolate shop so they should be delicious.

So two projects from me and I think the image works well with both.

Have a great day.

Happy Crafting

The Crafty Addicts Challenge Blog - Autumn Colours

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a good week. It has been rather wet here and that has been messing up the traffic.

Today sees the start of a new challenge on the Crafty Addicts Challenge blog and the theme is autumn colours. I did it again I ordered the image before I realised about the colours. The sponsor that my image came from is called Lacy Sunshine Stamps. The image I chose to use is called Peace on Earth - Angel Kiss and she is in the Christmas section of the store.

Don't I make things hard for myself choosing a Christmas image to use with autumn colours? Then I remembered the angel that used to go on top of our tree and she was dressed in golds, greens and browns.

I cut all the mats and layers and I used dies to cut the mats for round the image. There is some brown glitter card in there I got this free at a craft show and I thought I won't use that. Well I was wrong it has nearly run out and I am thinking of buying some more. On the top layer I stamped  a small poinsettia stamp all over page with CS Perfect Medium then I heat embossed it with a clear powder. Finally I inked all over the page with three shades of Distress ink.

This is a beautiful image I coloured her with my Promarkers.

I cut the sentiment with a Sue Wilson die in gold and brown this meant that it could have a drop shadow. This helped to give it definition against the background.

I made a poinsettia using Sue Wilson dies again with brown, gold and green.

If you click on the logo above you will be taken to the store.

There you have my Christmas card made in autumn colours. I think you could make a Christmas card just about any colour you like.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Crafting
