Sherry West Guest Design Team using Fall Fab Fairy

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

Hasn't it been a hot week. We did get down to the coast on Monday evening. It really isn't too far from where we live. I shouldn't have been but I was surprised how many people were there. We stayed there with our friends until it was dark. It was so cool there I even needed a cardigan (nice).

This is the second card that I have made for the Sherry West Guest Design Team. This fabulous image is released today. Now Sherry has closed he Etsy shop and her images are now free yes free. If you visit Sherry's blog all the details are there. CLICK HERE to visit the blog.

You can also join the Facebook Group to keep up with all the current news. Click Here to visit the Facebook Group.  The image is free in the event that is being hosted on the page.

This image is called Fall Fab Fairy and she was coloured is my Primacolor pencils with a touch of Wink of Stella to the wings. The die I used for the frame is a Spellbinders die.

Have a great week. I will be back tomorrow with another post.

Beccy's Place - Cherry Blossom Digital Stamps

Hello My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We are living in very strange times. Our Sainsbury shop was very weird we got most of what we wanted but it cost a lot more as we had to buy alternative brands. Also we bought the last few bits we needed in M&S. Lots of plans are being cancelled but it is but better to be safe.

I am one of the Blog Contributors for Beccy's Place. If you go to Beccy's post you will see that I have made other cards with the beautiful images. I will share those with you later in the week. There will also be a bonus card. I found the images very useful.

The colours I used for the mats and layers reflected how I had coloured the images.

This is the beautiful set that I got to work with it is the Cherry Blossom Digital Stamps. If you click on the image it will take you to the store.

I used the individual flower images to make a wreath. I have found that I really enjoy manipulating images digitally. Everything was printed onto Neenah card stock and coloured with my Promarkers.

I changed the colour of the sentiment to fit with the colours I had used.

I was rather pleased with how this card turned out. This is a gorgeous set of images to use.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

I hope you can enjoy the rest of the week.

Butterfly Frame - Just for You

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here. I hope you have something nice planned. We are going out for a meal with friends this evening and the rest of the weekend will be spent on wedding makes. I am hoping to completely finish the invitations so that I can move on to making the flowers.

I wanted to have another play with my Butterfly Frame die set. It is just so pretty.

I wanted to make a larger card this one is 8" x 8". I found the patterned paper in my stash.

I cut the Butterfly Frame in deep purple and I backed it with mauve. I cut the centre from the frame.

I have recently bought the Scalloped Lattice Frames Set B die set. I used the lattice die from this set to fill the aperture. The Just for You die set I have had for a while it did fit perfectly.

I hope you enjoy the weekend. I will be back on Monday. The weekends are getting rather pressurised.

Quick Cards Made Easy February Edition

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I hope you are all okay there has been some very sad news around this week.

This blog post is to share my card that was published in the February issue of Quick Cards Made Easy magazine.

I have blogged this card before. I sent in a photo after seeing a request for pictures of cards on Facebook. The card is made almost entirely with Creative Expressions products.

This is the cover of the magazine. The free gift by the side. I like the free gift a lot which is a bonus.

Here is the double page spread found on pages 26 and 27.

Finally here is my card in detail. It is so nice to see your cards in print. If you are on Social Media there are often appeals for cards to be featured in magazines.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Take care everyone.

Last Post Before Christmas?

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How are you all doing? Are things super busy for you like they are here? We have managed to fit in quite a bit of fun too.

I made this card a while ago and I felt it needed its day on my blog and it makes a change to Christmas cards.

Just about everything I used was designed by Sue Wilson.

Here is the details of the flowers.

I made a drop shadow for the sentiment.

I have added some pictures from the Bootleg Beatles concert we went to in Brighton on Friday. We have seen them before that go through the history of the music and they have changes of costume. Even the lighting ties in.

I will leave you with this card. I am not sure that I will be able to post anything else before Christmas. I have some very tight Tattered Lace deadlines one is for before Christmas which I don't think I am going to meet.

I would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Thank you for all your visits and comments I do appreciate them all.

Unicorn Challenge Blog - Challenge 2 Think Pink

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I am back again this week this time with my inspiration card for the start of the new challenge on the Unicorn Challenge blog and the theme is Think Pink. This is just our second challenge we were overwhelmed by the response to our very first challenge.

Would you believe it I actually found this challenge quite hard. I went through my stash and I found this beautiful paper I think it came from magazine. There was so much going on with the paper it was hard to know quite how to deal with it.

I decided to use a selection of Sue Wilson dies to build up round the sentiment in a space on the paper so that none of the lovely elements were hidden.

I did ink the paper to make it a little more pink than it started out originally.

The final touch was to add some ribbon (it covered the yellow flower) and Candi from my stash of course they had to be pink.

I do hope that you are having a great week.

A Fairy Just for You

Hi Bloggers

Aren't things getting madly busy? I keep forgetting things that I am supposed to be doing. This isn't helped by us having lost out entire address book with the demise of our old computer. Don't you just wish you had an old fashioned  paper version sometimes?

I have made this card to enter the  Butterfly Challenge No. 30 All kinds of Fairies. I managed to get some free  fairy stamps on the December issue of Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. So with a little free time I was good to go.

This card started with the beautiful paper on the top layer it just had so much fantastic detail. The back sheet was from a pack by DCWV it is pearlised so it shines.

I stamped the fairy with black archival and then I heat embossed her with some embossing powder that I mixed myself from black and silver powder. I coloured the wings by painting them with distress ink and them covering that with mica powder.

I cut some ivy with my Sue Wilson dies from white paper and them I inked them with a green distress ink.

So that's it for today. All the wrapping and address finding is beckoning.

Have a wonderful weekend.
