Fantasy Stampers - Black Magic

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend has arrived. There is so much to do. I wonder what you have planned?

The next challenge starts on the Fantasy Stampers Challenge Blog the theme this time is Black Magic.

Fairies are magic I suppose. This is a 6" x 6" card. I used paper from my stash to create the mats and layers. I used some Tattered Lace die to cut the ovals on the card including the lacy border.

This is a stamp I got free with a magazine sometime ago I can't now remember which one. She is stamped in black and heat embossed with a black powder. The background was created with Pixie Powders.

The flowers were made with a punch as were the leaves.

Enjoy your weekend.

Creative Artiste - Challenge 19 Anything Goes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you have a had a good week and that you have something nice planned for the weekend. We will mostly catching up with jobs around the house and garden.

The first Friday in the month see the start of a new challenge on the Creative Artiste Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes and the sponsor is The Dusty Attic.

I had had this little heart shaped box in my stash for ages. I was given it free when I bought some jewellery as a leaving present.

I started painting the box all over with Gesso. It isn't necessary to do this but it does make the colours of the tissue paper brighter. Then I decoupaged the box with cut up tissue paper and decoupage glue applied with a brush. The lace was in my stash.
The Dusty Attic are based in Australia and they make laser cut creations and embellishments. They will ship overseas. If you click on the logo you will be taken to the store.

I made the flower with the Spellbinders Build a Sunflower die set. I used Distress inks to colour the petals. The doily was created with another Spellbinder die. The butterfly was made with a Sue Wilson die.

I was very pleased with how this box turned out.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.

A Trio of Christmas Stockings

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends and Visitors

How is your week going? We have rather a lot going on at the moment it is hard to fit things in.

I have made another Christmas card with the stamp set Christmas Designs that  I was sent by the Isobel Craft Collection to make some cards with. It is great being able to make Christmas cards as part of your design team duties.

I started by creating the background with the Merry Christmas stamp and the holly stamp from the set. I stamped them with Perfect Medium and they were then heat embossed with a sparkly green powder. Finally I inked all over the page with a Distress ink this was then spritzed with water and left to dry after blotting with a paper towel.

I stamped three of the stockings with black archival on to water colour card and they were coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

The sentiment was stamped with black archival.

If you click on the image of the stamps you will be taken to the Etsy Store where you can buy the stamps.

Once a month Sophy, who owns the Isobel Craft Collection,  has Facebook Craft sales. There are lots of bargains and items are sent out quickly.  This is the address of the page https://www.facebook.com/theisobelcraftcollection/?fref=ts. The next sale is on 6th and 7th November.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Unicorn Challenge Blog - Pretty Pinks/ Halloween

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How has the new week started for you? I can't believe it is already Tuesday.

The first Tuesday of the month sees the start of the new challenge on the Unicorn Challenge Blog and the theme is Pretty Pinks or Halloween. That is because not all of us like making Halloween cards but some of us do. This challenge should suit everyone.

I had a hunt around in my stash and I found some long forgotten Pyramage sheets with cute images on them and they were pink.

I don't think I could have made this more pink if I tried.

I had some off cuts of sheets I had coloured with Pixie Powders and I used a Sue Wilson butterfly die to create this butterfly.

I do like Forever Friends images they are just so cute. I created the frame with some other Sue Wilson dies.

Enjoy the rest of the week. Take care.

Crafts Galore Encore - Anything Goes

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here! What do you have planned? Today we will be catching up on jobs and tomorrow we will be at a wedding.

It is the first day of the month and the new challenge starts on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog the theme this time is Anything Goes and the sponsor is Kenny K stamps. I was one of the lucky ones on the Design Team who was able to choose an image from the store.

The background and the frame were covered with Washi tape. I had some as we are going to use it on the invitations for our daughter's wedding. It was good to have a play before that and this was such a good opportunity to use it.

There are many wonderful images in the store. Click on the logo to visit.

I was lucky and able to choose I couldn't  resist this  Giraffe image (available in the store). He was coloured with Promarkers and the sky with pencils.

The leaves were created with stamps and matching dies that came with Issue 11 of Crafter's Inspiration magazine.

The sentiment came with the set of stamps too.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Oh Christmas Tree

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? I hope things are going well for you.

I have been making Christmas cards again. This time with stamps sent to me by the Isobel Craft Collection.

I used the holly stamp from the set to create the background with heat embossing and Distress Ink.

This is the Christmas Design stamp set available from the Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/236329368/a6-set-of-photo-polymer-clear-stamps?ref=shop_home_active_4

The Christmas Tree was stamped onto watercolour card with Black Archival ink and coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

This is one of the greetings in the set.

I was thrilled to receive this stamp set and this is another Christmas card for my stash I am well on target now I should be finished soon.

Enjoy the reset of the week.

Angel of Peace

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How was your weekend? Our daughter came home and we talked about lots of things to do with the wedding. We also cried together a bit as one of our good family friends has just died after a two year fight with cancer. Life does have it's ups and downs.

I made this card after being inspired by the demonstrations I saw Sue Wilson do when we watched her live at Ally Pally.

For the background I used the new 8" x 8" Falling Snow embossing folder.  The ribbon was being sold for 50p a roll at Ally Pally.

This is last year's Christmas Angel designed by Sue Wilson from Creative Expressions.

This die came with a dove a few years ago.

I might make a few more cards like this. I do like the new embossing folder.
