I hope you had a good weekend and are ready for the week ahead. This is the start of two weeks of mock exams at the local secondary school and I am invigilating most days.
I joined in with a challenge in the Facebook group Crafty Army with Carley (Duff). We were split into three teams and the challenge was to make easel cards. I was thrilled to be picked as of the winners for my group. Here is my card.
I do't often make easel cards since I found my uncle displaying one of its side. I do like making easel cards though. I will have to make sure that I send this twisted easel to a fellow crafter who will know how to display it.
This fabulous robin was from an old Christmas card. I added a snowflake border to the top and the bottom of the image.
This is the snowflake border it is a die I bought in the Works last week they still had some.
This is the John Next Door Happy Christmas die from the Happy Snowflakes die set. Mounted in this way it made the stopper for the easel.
The paper I used was from my stash. I was very pleased with how this card turned out and thrilled to have won the challenge.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Have a great week.

Beautiful card Jackie, it's amazing how many people don't know how to stand an easel card you know, I was quite shocked at some friends...haha...
My grandaughters exams start this week, I have all the dates on my board and will be thinking her through it, good luck to them all, what a nerve wracking time for so many...enjoy your week Jackie..xx

A beautiful Christmas card Jackie. A gorgeous image and lovely die-cuts. I stopped with the twisted easel cards when I had a similar experience to yours, lol xx
A lovely card Jackie. I think I have a similar image. Must check it out. Love Christmas cards with Robins on them.

I LOVE that little bird Jackie, it's a gorgeous image and perfect for Christmas. You did an awesome job with the twisted easel fold. I had a little chuckle when I read about your uncle displaying the easel card sideways, I'm certain it's something all card-makers are familiar with. I must admit that I'm careful about who I send complicated folds to, not everyone realises how they're meant to be displayed.
Cheers,
Beccy
Stunning card Jackie, I love Robins x
A gorgeous card Jackie. I don't tend to make easel cards for Christmas cards because so many hang Christmas cards, not display them as individual cards. But I do like the style and have made lots of special cards for other occasions as easel cards. Most don't have a clue how to set up any card that is different to the norm, so I tend to give such cards to people who will be opening them in front of me so that I can point them in the right direction. I bet your uncle will get the next easel card you send him the right way.

Awww bless your Uncle. I must admit I tend to show people any different fold cards if I give them in person. Obviously not so easy by post! Love the robin Jackie. Shabneez x
Your card is so pretty, and I love that you repurposed an old Christmas card when making it. Thank you so much for joining us for our latest challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Cheryl W, DT

Oh, Jackie! Your sweet bird is gorgeous! I love the colors in your scene, and in the bird - so peaceful and serene. I especially like the snowflake borders that contribute to the snowy feel, but do not detract from the pretty image. It's beautiful! And now for my other hat: So glad I got to see your critter project showcased at the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies Challenge. Thanks for supporting us, and we hope to see more of your pretty creations in the future. Please check back to see if you are a winner or A Designer Favorite. Sending you wishes for a wonderful day!
