Tattered Lace - Bunny Bathtime

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a good week. The weather has been amazing here. I hope it is where you are too.

A couple of weeks ago, out of the blue, I got an email from Tattered Lace asking me to make some samples. I was a bit surprised as I stepped down from the team some time ago. Anyway I was curious so I responded positively and I was sent a die to work with.

These are the samples I sent in. The die I was sent is called Bunny Bath-time and it is part of the Modern Romance collection.

I made an easel card the die was cut in white and coloured with my Promarkers. The background was created with the shaving foam technique it was made some time ago but it seemed to fit with this die.

I decorated a notebook. This would make a nice gift.

I wanted to make a card with just the mummy bunnies.

So I had all the bunnies in the bath left over. To make the card I generated the sentiment on the computer.

Gift bags are always nice to make. This time I paper pieced the die.

Here are all the samples together. The die was released yesterday. I haven't seen any of the shows so I don't know if they were used. I have just sent off another set of samples I really must stop there. Time is running out to make things for the wedding.

Christmas Reindeer

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

Well that was a busy weekend. Ally Pally was fab on Saturday and we had a lovely meal with our family on Sunday. My husband has a few days back at work and then he has about a week's leave. I do need his help with some of the wedding makes.

Believe it or not I have been making Christmas cards again I made 12 of these. I have had the design going round my head for ages so I just had to make it.

This is an A6 card and I made them with my husband's work team in mind. I will be decorating the envelopes too. Last year I decorated some envelopes and not others and there were complaints. So that isn't happening this year. Both of the papers I used are from Stampin Up.

The reindeer is one of the stamps in the Stampin Up Cookie-Cutter Christmas stamp set. He was stamped onto water colour card and coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I do have the matching punch to cut him out. In the background you can see the Rustic Twig Wreath from Creative Expressions. The scalloped squares were cut with a Spellbinders die.

The Happy Christmas was cut with the Contemporary  Happy Christmas by Creative Expressions.

At Ally Pally we sat in the audience and watched Barbara Grey demonstrate live on TV and the same with Julia Watts. Every so often they would turn the camera on the audience I had to keep waking my husband up. We saw John Lockwood demonstrate the new Glitter Kiss products. The last picture is of my stash. I did succumb to two of the Glitter Kiss colours. I will let you know how I get on.

I think these cards are quite jolly.

Enjoy your week.

Happy Birthday for Someone Special

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is before us. I hope you have something nice planned. The Easter Holidays have started for me. There is so much I want to do most of it is for the wedding. Tomorrow I am taking a day out and we are heading off early to go to Ally Pally. I do love that craft show. It should be fun. On Sunday we are seeing family. I do feel that over the next few months my blogging is going to get more erratic but sometimes life just gets in the way.

I have been trying to keep ahead of my makes and I made this card for a special someone. Their birthday isn't till August, what with the wedding in July and us going on holiday soon after, I wasn't sure when it would get made. I do like to be organised.

This is one of my 8"x 8" cards. I choose the image first and then I found the fabulous paper in my stash. I cut all the mats and layers to match the colours in the image.

Sometime I struggle to put sentiments on cards. I do find this round stamp useful as it doesn't take too much room. I cut it and it mats and layers with some tonic circle dies.

I made yellow poppies, with the Tranquil Poppy die by Creative Expressions. to reflect the flowers in the image.

This gorgeous image is another by Pollyanna Pickering. I have a pack of images that I use from time to time.  The eagle eyed amongst you might have noticed the card I made with the left overs from this card a little while ago.

I just have to remember where I have put this card when the time comes.

Enjoy your weekend, whatever you are doing.

Thinking of You in Purple

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

How is your week going? The children finished school today and I have two more days to go until the Easter Break. We have also treated ourselves to a trip to the theatre tomorrow for our anniversary and there was a good offer on seats.

I held out for a while but in the end I couldn't resist the April issue of  Making Cards Magazine. So today I made a card with one of the images and some of the papers that came with the magazine.

This is a 6" x 6" card my husband had asked me to make some smaller cards. I used my Spellbinder's Lacy circle dies to frame the image.

The pot on the image was not coloured I used the Stampin Up water colour pencils and a blending tool to colour it.

I love how the image and the papers go so well together. I is really quite easy to make a pretty card.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Unicorn Challenge Blog - Petal Power

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope the week has started well for you. Yesterday was actually our 35th Wedding Anniversary. We have certainly come a long way together. My husband took the afternoon off and we had a lovely meal and we did a lot of shopping. It was all a bit low key but with a wedding to pay for it couldn't be any other way.

Being the first Tuesday of the month the new challenge starts today on the Unicorn Challenge blog the theme is Petal Power.

I treated myself to some new dies but I do like to keep using my older dies.  I used the border die from the French Collection designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.

The Easter basket die cuts out nicely and it is easy to make a mat to go behind it with the dies provided. I have not used the set to make the 3D basket yet. The flowers were made with a Martha Stewart punch. I used the Olive branch dies to create the foliage.

The Happy Easter die comes with the Basket set.

This is my last Easter card. I have enough now.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

Easter Card

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We saw our daughter yesterday we had a nice meal and we did make the bouquet I have just got to do the finishing touches. That is something else ticked off the list. The bridesmaid's bouquets are finished too.

I have made a few more Easter cards. In fact four of this design. I think I have enough now. Not many people send Easter cards anymore I like to though it is my favourite holiday.

I ordered some of the new colours of Centura Pearl card from Crafter's Companion. I used the Pistachio green on this card. The yellow is some other card from my stash,

I stamped the Blessed Easter stamp from Stampin Up onto watercolour card with Watering Can Archival ink. Then I coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I made the frame with dies from the Innsbruck set from the Austrian collection from Creative Expressions.

I was going to  use some lace and then I spotted my Gemini Carina die.

Enjoy the last evening of the weekend.

Crafts Galore Encore - April Challenge- Sponsor A Day for Daisies

Hi My Crafty Blog Friends

The weekend is here. I hope you have something nice planned. We are just off to meet up with our daughter I am hoping to make her wedding bouquet today. I have been working on flowers all week. It is so much better when she is with me she can says what she likes and doesn't like straight away.

Well it is the start of a new month and that sees the start of a new challenge on the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. The sponsor this time is A Day for Daisies and I was allowed to choose an image to work with. I had quite a hard time choosing there were so many beautiful images in the store. There is a prize this month of $12 credit to spend in the store.

The papers I used came from my stash. I coloured the image first and then I chose the colours of the mats and layer and the papers to match the colouring.

There are many gorgeous images available in the online store

The image I choose is called Dandelions in a Mason jar and is available HERE. I printed onto water colour card with grey ink I added a sentiment with the computer the image was coloured with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens. I used the Double Pierced Square die, designed by Sue Wilson for Creative Expression, to cut the image and make the mats and layer.

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.  I will let you know if we manage to make the bouquet.
